"We had a lovely stay at Soil Setoda after riding bikes on the Shimanami Kaido from Onomichi. I think the bike ride between the two was about 35km, and in the heat of summer, that was enough! We had beautiful view from our room on the water's edge, and the room itself was good looking and comfortable. We had 35 degree celsius days for the three weeks we spent in Japan. We learnt good air conditioning from the bad. This one was good! The other really lovely aspect is the amazing food served. We had the short course dinner and then breakfast the next morning in the downstairs restaurant/cafe. Both were superb. I also think it was the best coffee in our three week trip! "

"Just off the main street, a surprisingly spacious garden unfolded before us. We stayed in a private villa, and both the room and bathroom were large, clean, and very relaxing. The lack of a TV in the room is also a plus for those who want to relax in peace. The carefully prepared Japanese breakfast was also wonderful. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life and unwind."

"Since it's located in the Onomichi shopping district, rain wasn't a problem. The entrance was stylish and didn't look like a hotel. There's no elevator, so you have to go up the stairs, but it was convenient as I left my luggage there before checking in and went sightseeing. The room was stylish and had a projector, which was fun. My friend said it was "relaxing." I'm glad I made that choice. I was surprised that it included all-you-can-eat ice cream and souvenirs. I'd like to use it again next time."
