Mango Hill Shola Ooty

The place is truly amazing, and we really enjoyed our visit. However, our experience was spoiled by the behaviour of one of the female staff members in the restaurant. She acted as though we were supposed to work for her and was unresponsive whenever we asked for assistance. I kindly suggest providing better customer service training, as respectful and attentive behaviour towards guests is essential.

Second night was still very good and the staff was always as helpful as they were.

Overall, everything was good except for one issue. We had booked the hotel for 4 nights, but due to an unexpected emergency, we had to check out one night early. Unfortunately, the hotel management did not provide any refund for the unused night, which amounted to approximately RMB 1,500 (around ₹20,000). What disappointed me most was the management’s attitude regarding the cancellation request. I also submitted refund requests through Trip.com twice, but both were rejected. le the stay itself was satisfactory, the lack of flexibility and customer support in handling an emergency situation left a very negative impression.

Recently stayed at Mango Hills in a 2 bedroom apartment. Exterior of the hotel is clean and landscaping is beautiful. Staffs are friendly and polite. However the 2 bedrooms apartment we stayed is worn out and cleanliness is lacking. Linens are old and dirty with stains. Breakfast is average and restaurant cleanliness is substandard. Hotel has potential but in need of upgrading works.

Overall, my stay at Mango Hill was average. One thing I would especially like to appreciate is the staff. They were exceptionally good, friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist. Their service was definitely the highlight of our stay. Unfortunately, the facilities and food were the major letdowns. The breakfast spread needs more variety and better options. The taste and overall quality of the food also need improvement, especially considering the price of the stay and the food. Room cleanliness could also be better. More attention needs to be given to overall cleaning, and the pillows, pillow covers, and bed sheets should feel cleaner and fresher when guests check in. While the staff made every effort to make our stay comfortable, I did not feel the overall experience was worth the price. The property has good potential, but the facilities, food quality, breakfast spread, room cleanliness, and bedding need improvement to match the price being charged.

The location is perfect with best weather at this time of the year. The rooms were good and the staff was very polite and helped us in every way possible
