The hotel itself is good, but the food and overall location make the experience quite disappointing, especially considering the price you pay for the rooms. The food options are extremely limited. Even at breakfast, you cannot easily get basic items like an omelette. And when you are staying in Tamil Nadu, you would naturally expect something as simple as a dosa to be available. Even asking for these basic items becomes difficult. The staff explain that they have very limited kitchen staff and therefore cannot prepare certain dishes. But honestly, that should not be the guest’s problem, especially when the hotel charges a premium price for the stay. Dinner is equally disappointing. There is only one chicken option and one fish option. If you don't eat fish, then as a non-vegetarian, you are essentially left with just one choice, whether you choose the buffet or à la carte. The menu is so limited that there is hardly anything to choose from. This becomes even worse when you are travelling with children. At night, the area outside the hotel is very dark, and getting to the main city is not convenient. You generally cannot find a cab or auto easily, so you have to keep calling the reception to arrange transportation. Even then, the cab fare at night can be very expensive. The amount you spend on food outside can end up being comparable to the cost of the cab ride. For a hotel charging this kind of room rate, the restaurant service and food choices are simply not up to the expected standard. It is not about having a huge menu; it is about being able to get basic, reasonably expected food and having enough choices. If you are a foodie or travelling with family and children, I would seriously suggest thinking twice before booking this hotel. The property itself may be nice, but the limited food options, restaurant service, and inconvenient location can make the overall stay quite frustrating.
