"We had chosen Oppède and the Mas Dansavan for 14 days as a permanent base for a visit to most of the sights of the Luberon and Provence. In retrospect, this has proven to be an excellent choice. The owners, Michel and Anne-Marie, gave us great tips every day to make our stay and the visits as pleasant as possible. Our accommodation offered more than everything we actually needed. A wonderful bed with solid pillows, a fully equipped kitchenette, absolute peace and quiet at night. The breakfast was top by French standards with delicious homemade yoghurt, jam, a portion of fresh fruit and local cheeses. A stay of 14 days makes it clear that we were not just confronted with a fluke but that the quality, dedication and helpfulness of the hostess and host are top every day. "We absolutely LOVED our week here - it is one of the loveliest places we've ever stayed. If you are thinking of booking, you absolutely should! The rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable, the pool and summer kitchen amazing and the breakfasts are delicious. Vanessa is a wonderful host and extremely helpful. The facilities/grounds were far better than we had realised from their website- with a brand new tennis court, outdoor gym area, ping pong table, lots of games (poker set, playing cards, pickle ball, Kubb skittles etc). We actually hired all 5 bedrooms, and it was like having a private villa, with breakfast and room cleaning! Just perfect. The local area is very beautiful - so many lovely villages to explore and Vanessa can help book restaurants and make reservations. We also cooked at the BBQ and made pizzas one evening, in the big wood fired pizza oven! We've already booked to go back!"

"It's a cozy little courtyard, more like a guesthouse. The facilities are complete but not modern, and the overall decor is homey. The owner is very welcoming, and this place is a great choice for a vacation. There's a clear river flowing nearby, which is a favorite spot for locals."

"They were very flexible with the check in, and very friendly. Basic room but the shower and toilet was quite spacious. Hair dryer you borrow at reception  Their cats were definitely a bonus."

"Good value-for-money hotel within driving distance of Roussillon and great sites such as the okhra eco-museum. Parking was not free but a reasonable 6 Euros. Relatively small room but clean, comfortable and certainly worth the price. Recommended for those with a car."

"We are a group of singers (40 to 45 people) and every year for more than ten years, we spend a week together in August at the Hôtellerie Notre Dame de Lumières. Many participants come from abroad. The hotel is magnificent, quiet, perfectly located in the middle of the Luberon. The rooms, most of which have been renovated, are very comfortable and the bedding is excellent. The hotel swimming pool is large, very beautiful and well integrated into the park. The food is excellent, despite the size of our group, and we particularly enjoy being able to dine together in the evening in the hotel courtyard - a setting full of history and character. The Chef is very attentive to special diets and always does what is necessary to please everyone. As a group, the rooms available to us for singing are perfect and everything is done to make our week easier. We would like to thank the entire hotel team for the kindness, efficiency and warm welcome they showed again this year during our week at Lumières. All our singers were delighted by the stay.
