"We had an excellent stay at ARP Hotel, Dalyan. This hotel is a hidden gem right on the edge of the Dalyan Lake and looking out across to the ancient Dalyan Tombs. Owner Berk Özgen and his team of staff cannot do enough for you and go out of their way to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. The rooms are well equipped with regular towel change, bedding change and room cleaning. In high season I believe the boat service from the town centre to the world famous Iztuzu Beach will pick up and drop off at the hotel dock if requested. And then there's the fabulous, included Turkish Breakfast, which it has to be said is fantastic, including eggs, fruits, various cheeses and lots more all freshly prepared by the team. "

"The hotel offers excellent value for money. The grounds are very well-maintained, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is perfectly adequate – you can't expect a luxury buffet at this price, of course, but it's fine. However, I personally wouldn't book this hotel again, as absolutely everything is in English – from the entertainment to the evening shows. This made us miss out on the local atmosphere, and the entertainment was less engaging for our children as a result. Therefore, I would recommend this hotel primarily to guests who speak English well or who generally prefer a more international experience. It's less suitable for families who are looking for a more authentic local atmosphere."

"First trip to turkey and this hotel surpassed our expectations had a great stay here lovely hotel clean and well looked after all the staff were amazing especially rams the barman! Plenty of pool loungers to go around. Rooms were nice and big with a kettle and a fridge. Bathroom was big with a shower and plenty of hot water. Location was good as it was only a 5 min walk from all the bars/restaurant’s and shops! Being right next to the river you have daily boats coming and going up to 11pm at night but this never bothered us At all. Overall a great experience for us and we can’t wait to come here again for 2 weeks next year! Definitely recommend this little gem ❤️ love to all at the portakal hotel Louise and Martin Xx"

"Dirty bed linen ripped with blood stains. Foul smell from drains permeating through the apartment. No Air con in bedroom, Air con in living room not working. Swimming pool dirty. On site bar tried to over charge for my bill fortunately I knew what I had drunk and queried the charges, It was eventually rectified, Word of advice pay your bar bill daily they will try to overcharge. Overall I cannot say anything positive about this accommodation and would strongly advise people not to book. Was so bad left hotel after a few days and paid to stay elsewhere (sadly had paid for full two weeks in advance for this abomination of a hotel)"

"Cute little hotel within walking distance of Dalyan town. 5 mins to the first cluster of restaurants, some with beautiful river side settings, another 10 into Dalyan town which is a little busier. The hotel was well presented and the staff are very attentive, cute pool area but the bathrooms are on the small side! The only little issue is the massage therapists are a separate company and if you don’t have cash you can’t pay or charge it to the room!!"

"Stayed yet again at this beautiful little hotel. It has such a wonderful feel about it from the amazing friendly staff to the freshest breakfasts using home grown produce right down to the fresh daily yogurt and home made jams. The egg Man who never stops smiling and is always so happy to see the guests. The rooms have comfortable beds and pillows and are cleaned daily to a high standard. The pool is lovely and clean. Plenty of sun loungers to go round with a lovely little pool bar for your cool drinks served by yet another smiling face 😁.. and always a friendly greeting or a wave. It always feels like coming home when we return here and are always greeted as an old friend. Wi-Fi can be a little intermittent depending where you are."

"I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, it's truly awful. Its only advantage is its central location. The breakfast room has no air conditioning, there's no fridge in the rooms, and no slippers. The beds were full of hair, and the sheets were wrinkled and unironed with a strong smell of dampness. We checked out within 12 hours."

"I just spent a week at the Metin Hotel which is very conveniently located in the centre of Dalyan, close to the river, shops and restaurants. My room was in Block A and was on the top floor overlooking the street. From the good sized balcony there was a great view of the tombs across the river. The hotel is quite traditional but is clean and well maintained. On arrival I was offered a choice of rooms and mine was a double with a shower room, comfy bed, air con and a fridge. The only issue was that there is no wifi in the rooms, only in the reception area. This was quite inconvenient and these days, even the most basic hotels have decent wifi so I think this is something that the Metin's owners should invest in. Breakfast was on the roof terrace and was typical Turkish food - fruit, vegetables, cheese, bread, cereal etc. all very tasty. The pool area was well kept and clean and there was no problem getting a sun bed. There is also a bar/cafe there which I did not use. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, I had an excellent week and for a very reasonable price."
