Right by the alley entrance, you'll find the hotel. Downstairs, there's a duty-free pharmacy that also sells snacks, which is incredibly convenient. After checking in, we got to our room, and in a nutshell: it was small but well-appointed, neat, tidy, and fully equipped – we were pretty satisfied. Walking back to the hotel, I realized the surrounding area is surprisingly lively, right in the heart of Umeda's nightlife. We even saw Japanese political campaigners, with their neat lines, flags, posters, and banners, politely greeting us with "konbanwa" (good evening). The hotel itself is very close to the train station, making transportation especially convenient. The facilities are excellent, clean, and well-maintained. The only downside was that our room was on a lower floor, so we occasionally heard the noise from the nightlife downstairs. I imagine those usually serious Japanese salarymen often get quite drunk at this time, letting off some steam. Besides the duty-free pharmacy, there's also a Lawson convenience store right below the hotel, which was fantastic. We made it a daily routine to stop by, buying our breakfast, milk drinks, and of course, delicious ice cream and expensive fruit there every day.
