Very expensive but God damn, they really do be hiring people that speak either English or Chinese together with Japanese! And oh my, there are just so so many staff that do! Whether that be front desk, or even housekeeping! The only ones that really don't are the ones in the restaurants or in Melissa (where they sell bread and other good food!) Or the mall downstairs! The dessert lounge weren't too friendly either but they all seem to be extensions of the hotel! Overall, great experience except for the fact that the rooms are indeed tiny and compact cause that's what we booked after all - but aside from that, all the amenities were great, toilet was big and movable in and you really have anything and everything you need already there! Only issue is maybe that some things here are pretty outdated though it's a 5 star hotel! But overall its truly worth the price though I don't reccomend staying all the time unless you wanna burn a hole in your pocket heh! But one great thing is that they are truly commendable in terms of holding events and catering to hundreds of guests for the really really big ballrooms. That's a huge plus.

Stayed 2 nights at the Ritz Carlton earlier in the week during my first business trip to Japan after Covid. Must confess that was really impressed. Excellent service, great staff and in general hotel very well equipped. Room was spacious, clean, with a great bed allowing for very good night sleep, very good performing wifi, great bathroom very well equipped including a very nice set of salt for the bath. Definitely hotel gives a lot of attention to detail and you can see it during your stay. There was an air purifier in my room, which was a bit noisy, so I had to unplug it during the night. This didn't bother me at all, but maybe something to check by the hotel management. All in all, perfect stay. Will definitely return on my next trip to Osaka.

The new brand hotel of the Palace Hotel opened in July, so I was able to stay at a good price using GoTo. The location is just outside Dojima underground street. It is located in the south of Kita Shinchi, but the service was good and I was able to stay with peace of mind. The corner studio of 32 square meters stayed. There is a bathtub and shower booth in the space like home called rug in the flooring, and it feels compact. However, when you take a shower, the powder area is flooded, and the bath is rounded from the room? All the towels were very soft and good with imabari towels. There is a restaurant and room 001 on the second floor, coin laundry, vending machine, coffee machine and microwave oven, and shoe shine service and free puff service It was a very calm space. I didn't use the restaurant this time, but I was worried about the space that I saw a little and was very nice. depends on the price, it is a hotel that I want to stay again.

The location is quite good. Next to the Umeda Sky Building so it’s easy to find. However it’s a 5-10 min walk to the big department store, but the walk is okay. There is a shuttle bus service which makes it very nice also. The room is quite big and of course everything was nice and clean. The breakfast was amazing! I love the hotel and would stay again!

It's really close to the subway station and very convenient. I chose this hotel mainly because I wanted to go to the airport the next day. I think I will choose this hotel when I go to the airport in the future. There are a lot of places to eat around. I even went to Umeda specifically. Wandered around for a while. The hotel's bath water seems to contain hot spring water, which is quite comfortable for washing and sleeping.

I enjoy staying at Moxy chains (even though I only stayed in one prior to this) because of its modern but funky atmosphere and rooms. The room itself is as expected from a Moxy. Compact, but still bigger than most Japanese business hotels. As a platinum, I did not get upgraded. I had to ask upon check-in and was told there was only 1 available on the 3rd floor. Granted I requested for a higher floor... I would rather not get upgraded and stay on the original floor given to me, which was the 8th. I also asked to be away from the elevator, but was placed in the room right in front of the elevator. To be honest, I find it hard to believe no others rooms were available.. I only stayed for one night and it was on Thursday night. Luckily, I didn’t hear any sounds. Either the walls were that good, or barely anyone was staying on my floor. I’m going to go with the latter one. The only complaint I have with the room was the tin garbage can provided. I get the “go green” thing going on, but I didn’t feel comfortable throwing garbage anywhere without a bag because of stains or liquid leakage. I ended up using my own plastic bag. It would make more sense to save the plastic on the slippers no? But that goes for most hotels, not just this one. No robes, but pajamas are available on the first floor. The restaurant/bar: If I would rate this alone, it would be a solid 5. Just look at the prices. That itself is already fair enough but this was under a hotel. I actually found it hard to believe they were offering such low prices! And the taste... amazing. The burger I ordered was very juicy and whatever sauce they used added more flavor to it. The nachos were handmade (?) and the portions were all fair. However, why the 3 stars? Out of the 7 staff members I’ve interacted with, only 3 of them spoke fluent English. The lady who checked me in (very sweet, short brown hair,) the manager (?,) and a foreigner who took my order at the bar (who spoke like a Japanese.) Two others literally ran away from me to get someone to speak to me, while 2 others said very basic words. Pretty sure they couldn’t understand what I was saying. Ironically, the owner (?) of this place, is a foreigner himself. I passed by the gym and noticed a guy talking in the phone. He was the same guy that’s on their Instagram so I’m assuming that he’s the owner. I get this is Japan, but Moxy is under Marriott, which is an international brand. Definitely caught me by surprise when I had to use my elementary Japanese to get my point across. Another thing is the location. This is not Shin-Umeda. It’s clearly Fukushima which is what they’re marketing it on their IG. So very misleading. Problem is that the closest subway station is over 15 minutes away! Yes there’s a JR but the metro is what most people would take, to go to tourist spots. So I would say this hotel is targeting the Japanese business audience instead. The front desk of the hotel only speaks English with a Japanese accent, and the room is very nice. The bedroom area is relatively small but fully functional. The bathroom is very nice and spacious. When we went to Osaka in late November, the city was crowded with tourists, especially around major attractions and Osaka station. It was thus very pleasant to stay slightly further away from the hustle and bustle on the quieter streets. Moreover, the hotel is still connected by a short and frequent shuttle ride (10-20 min depending on traffic) or a short walk (around 15 min) from JR Osaka station. Note that the shuttle runs only up to 8:40pm from the station so there is a high chance that you might need to walk from the station at night. Somebody mentioned in the comments that the room was small, I would add that it is likely due to not so thoughtful design. One has a feeling of everything being in the way of something else. For example, the toilet and shower are in two separate ”booths” and the shower rug is placed right at the entrance of the room. The sink is however inside the room and not in another booth. There was also no service for the room during our stay (2 nights) and not even towels were replenished by default. Besides a tiny desk that serves as a counter-top for us, there were also no other drawers or basically any place to put your luggage, so even our luggage (2 backpacks plus a carry-on) was always in our way. This is really smaller than the usual small in normal Japanese business hotels. Nevertheless, the dining hall that serves breakfast, drinks and lunch offers reasonably good food at good prices (breakfast at 400 yen, drinks at 300 yen, lunch at 800 yen). It is a good alternative if you decide to avoid the crowd that day. Another good point is that the room and buildings (reception, dining and rooms located in 2 separate buildings) are all new, modern and sparkling clean. There is a time-sharing (to separate genders) public bath at the ground floor of the hotel building so in case you don't like the smallness of the shower, there is still another choice. Unfortunately, the time constraint has made it difficult for us to use it this time.

I went to the concert in Grand Cube Osaka so I stayed for two nights on Monday 〜 Wednesday. It was the first time that such a close hotel from the concert hall was very easy. However, Nakanoshima itself is a little far from the city such as Osaka and Nanba, and the subway and JR access are not good. If you stay as a base for sightseeing in Osaka, I recommend a hotel a little closer to the city or along a good access route. First of all, the price is the special mention. I can't believe it because I usually use a hotel in Kanto for about 10000 yen in twin 2 nights and 3 days even on weekdays. Check out is 10 o'clock, but you can check out late (1 hour 1000 yen per person). I extended it until 12 o'clock and added 4000 yen. The check-in was smooth by checking and disinfecting at the front desk. During my stay, the staff was polite and good. There are paper cups, instant coffee, slippers, etc. beside the front desk. The ladies' set was only cotton and cotton swab, so you should have makeup, makeup water, emulsion, etc. (the above makeup drop was written in the present and elevator in the word of mouth posting of other travel sites. I would be happy to prepare it in defo If you are put on the room rate, you may not be able to do it. There is a microwave oven in the back of the lobby at the entrance, so I could warm the meal I took back and I was able to stay in the room. I don't think it's troublesome to shop because there are seven eleven open until 23 o'clock next to the front desk. (There was also a 7-Eleven 24-hour laundry nearby) There is a laundry on the first basement floor, two drum washing dryers and 3kg 500 yen (2 hours). However, it will be closed at 22:30, so I recommend early time if you are used. In my case, I asked the front desk around 21 o'clock and extended it to too much 24 o'clock. I stayed in twin so it became a spacious corner room with 4 rooms on the 7th floor. The key is not a card key only by 1 books. As a particular good point, the hardness of the pillow and bed was perfect for my taste. I have been hit by a hotel that has a hard bed and pillow and is not very comfortable, but it was so soft and very sleepy here. I didn't expect the room facilities because there was no breakfast overnight, but the unit bus toilet is clean and hot water and shower come out at high temperature. The dryer was weak and I was fine with short hair, but my long wife was in trouble. It is no problem if you stay alone, but there is a problem that the toilet in the bath cannot be used if you stay with two people. Other hotels have toilets on the front floor, but they were not found in this hotel. The air conditioner is also effective, but the humidifier is essential because the room is very dry. The humidifier is lent at the front desk, so let's borrow it without forgetting at check-in. The outlet was on the bed pillow side, the foot window and the desk, and the charging of the smartphone and mobile battery was not inconvenient. There is free Wi-Fi, but the radio wave strength is weak and often cut off, and it was not a level that can be expected honestly. Only the dryer and Wi-Fi were now one, but overall it is very satisfying. If there is another event in the Grand Cube, it was a good hotel that I would like to use.
