Numa Oslo Hallen

Highly recommended. The hotel is part of an old post office, located right behind a bus stop, 100m from a tram stop and 500m from Oslo Central Station. There are restaurants just downstairs or nearby. The room is large enough and well-equipped, with a washing machine, a big drying rack, a microwave and all utensils. There is a public room for (self-service, super convenient, pretty large space) luggage storage facilities and all the necessites (tea packs, towels, linens, and ear plugs etc., though it is quiet at night) Everything is done on app, including check-in/out and opening the doors. However, the door-opening function in the app doesn't work sometimes so you have to use code instead (there's no reception). Also, you have to go through some stairs at entrance and a winding passage to reach your room. The room is a little bit dark at night (even with all the lights on) for reading and writing. The TV is located in a weird position.

Numa has a superb and user-friendly app that makes check-in and check-out a breeze. You can also request a late check-out or add other services directly through the app, though these come with additional charges if you choose to use them. The room itself was brighter and spacious — we booked a larger version of the standard room. It even came with a washing machine, which we were really excited about since it was the only property during our trip that had one. Unfortunately, it didn’t have a dryer function (or perhaps we might have missed it), so drying our clothes after washing was a bit of a challenge. The distance from Oslo Train Station was manageable, but do take note that if you’re carrying big or heavy luggage like we were, the pavements leading to the property can be quite tricky to navigate. Overall, it was still a good and comfortable stay.

The all staff are so nice and the responses of email was so fast. Also, room was well cleaned and fashionable, and all facilities worked well. Additionally, there were stock room in the apparentment so i could restock when i was out of kitchen paper or some other staffs. There were also water in the room when i entered the room. In the batheoom, there was a floor heating which was good for me. The location was near the City Station so easy to go everywhere and there was a bus stop next to the building entrance door. It's might be diffict to find the hotel at first time but the hotel is on the second floor:) I wanna stay at this hotel surely when i visit Oslo next time.

Not a good experience at Numa Hallen. NOT RECOMMENDED. Rooms are big, clean and quiet. However, the “hotel” is not supported by any staff. The digital check in failed initially. We did not receive the check in email as advised. Maybe if you book directly with Numa, not a third party like Trip, this might work. Don’t know. We rang the web site and Trip advertised phone number to get a check in email. It is disconnected. This defect is recorded in previous reviews, Does anyone read these complaints? Read the previous reviews and noted the WhatsAPP number to be found at door front. Was ready for this we thought. The WhatsAPP number only has a virtual attendant. So no verbal communication available only short text messages readable. Jumped through many hoops and eventually received our check in details on the kerb outside the hotel. Thought we would be sleeping on the street for a while. Once inside we noted the big sign in kitchen about leaving a window open when cooking. Next morning all fire alarms in the hotel section went off. A closed window somewhere perhaps. Alarm couldn’t be shut off so we evacuated with our bags like many others. Guess it must happen often due to the prominence of the sign. The experience wasn’t good and is a great example of technology making life more difficult. The quest to remove people from hospitality jobs diminishes the hospitality aspect. It also leaves no backup except for meaningless, valueless, unaccountable apologies. The communications failures and fire alarm intrusion are significant infrastructure short comings. Wouldn’t stay there again.
