Everything was good, except there was no hot water. But the cold water wasn't too cold, so you could still take a decent shower :)

The hotel is located just 100 meters from the pier where the whale shark boats depart. There are shops and cafes nearby, which is very convenient. The room is small but clean. Be aware, there is no soap, toilet paper, toothbrushes, shampoo, etc., in the room, only 1 towel. You can ask for hot water downstairs, and they won't refuse. The hotel is next to the road, so if your window faces that way, it's very noisy. Overall, it's perfectly fine for an overnight stay.

Super convenient location—just five minutes away from the whale shark briefing area. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are a bit small, but the beds are actually very comfortable. Just a heads up: the hotel is near the main road, so it gets quite noisy from the trucks. But for the proximity to the sharks, it's totally worth it!

Stayed here for just one night. The hotel didn't provide the room type I booked, which was disappointing. They really need to upgrade their tech skills as the staff struggled with basic internet tasks, leading to poor service. Remember to wake up at 4 AM to queue for tickets – the whale shark ticket booth is just a 3-minute walk to the left when you exit the hotel. The local folks were very friendly, and luckily, we got to see the whale sharks the next day (it had been closed for two days straight due to a typhoon).

I only needed a hotel for one night, close to where you swim with whale sharks. It's a 3-minute walk away. That's the main pro, but also the main con. Since the hotel is right by the highway, noise in your room is guaranteed. Even though my room faced the ocean, it didn't help much. Falling asleep was a problem, and you need to get up early for the sharks. Minimal amenities. There wasn't even toilet paper. 😁 When I checked in, I looked for Wi-Fi and couldn't find it. But the next morning, as I was leaving, I saw a router. I checked for the network – it was there. I went back to my room, and it picked up the signal. Where was it before?

We read a lot of negative reviews about the hotel but decided to take a chance. For the price, it's a perfectly decent hotel. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are fine and clean. The internet is pretty good. There's no hot water, but that's mentioned in the description. The entrance for shark swimming is just 100 meters away. It gets crowded before lunch, but after that, only a few tourists remain in Tanawan, so you can swim peacefully outside the shark area or go to the waterfall, which is about 3 km from the hotel (it closes at 3:30 PM). Since the hotel (like most in Tanawan) is located along the road, it can be noisy, so try to get a room not facing the road.

I arrived a day before my whale shark encounter. The bus ride from Cebu took 4 hours there and 4.5 hours back. I didn't want to spend the whole day on a bus, so I decided to stay overnight at this hotel, and I'm very glad I did. I didn't expect much from the hotel, having read the reviews, but it turned out to be perfectly fine for my needs. It even had an ocean view, and they didn't ask for a deposit. I was prepared for the outlets, having bought an adapter in advance. The next day, I went to see the whale sharks at 4:30 AM, as the locals recommended, and was surprised to see hundreds of people already there, brought by tour companies. The organization wasn't entirely clear to me, but unexpectedly, a local volunteer appeared and guided me through the whole process. I got room 35, went back to the hotel, and returned by 6 AM. Then, everything happened. I'm thrilled, I didn't even expect it to be so good.

This’s kind of room for rent for a monthly! It’s not a hotel. Everything is manually system. Don’t have WiFi in the room and public area, have at the lobby(which is not look like the lobby at all) only!!!!!!!!! Don’t have hair dryer! The owner and staff use to smoke at the lobby area and if you get the room at 1st floor of course your room will fully smell of the smoking!!! The famous words of the owner here is “we don’t have mam” even the water also don’t have, need to buy 🫢 I definitely cannot call this place as a hotel! Ps. The picture is when I was checking in at the place!

The hotel's biggest plus is its proximity to the shark center – literally a 2-minute walk. The room itself was acceptably clean – the bedding, floor, and bathroom fixtures were spotless. However, the mirrors and other surfaces looked like they hadn't been wiped down in ages, and the door handles were rusty. As for amenities, this might be one of the most basic hotels I've ever stayed in. There's no showerhead in the shower, just a faucet in the wall. The toilet flush involves scooping water from a bucket. There's only cold water (sometimes lukewarm during the day, probably from the sun). No toilet paper or soap was provided – thankfully, there was at least a towel! There's a wardrobe, but not a single hanger. There is air conditioning, but it's an ancient monoblock unit in the wall with only two settings: cold and off (meaning you have to unplug it to turn it off). The window consists of rotating glass louvers, so it can't be sealed tightly. We asked at reception for some hot water for our thermos, but they said they didn't have any, so we had to go to a nearby restaurant. The staff wasn't great. We arrived late at night, early in the morning, and were immediately yelled at upon arrival that we couldn't check in until 2 PM. This was despite the fact that we had paid for the previous day and had clearly stated our arrival time in the booking comments. Eventually, another staff member came, sorted it out, and checked us in.

Do NOT book this place, it's absolutely awful. There were cockroaches flying everywhere, even landing on my clothes, which totally freaked me out! There were also big, long worms crawling on the floor. No hot water, and the toilet couldn't flush – I had to manually pour water to get it to go down. The sheets were filthy, and there was no duvet.

It is extremely close to the whale shark watching spot. It takes less than 2 minutes on foot. The owner's woman was quite familiar with the tour and gave me a lot of advice. They also planned a tour to Sumiron Island with pick-up and drop-off. Sumiron Island was very beautiful and it was the best experience. I wanted to talk to the hotel about various things in advance, so I wanted to call the hotel, but I was in trouble because the phone number didn't change no matter where I looked. If I go to Oslob again, I would like to stay here. Thank you very much.

Close to the sharks (aquarium), quiet place, the only downside was the toilet flush wasn't working, but otherwise, I liked it. The air conditioning worked.

No drinkable water provided, have to go out to buy water every time we need water to drink, the WiFi didn’t work inside the room, had to come out in the corridor to use the WiFi, where the mosquitos were very active
