Shinra Yoro Valley ★★★★
"Very satisfied. Excellent service, great privacy, and a wonderful room. Attention to detail was remarkable. As soon as the car stopped, the hotel staff were already there to welcome you and helped you with your luggage to the front desk. The hotel is new, with a limited number of rooms. The onsen (hot spring) is black water, and the meals are kaiseki cuisine."

"I stayed for two nights during my solo motorcycle trip. The surroundings are peaceful, with waterfalls and streams nearby, making it a wonderfully refreshing spot. The complimentary fruit was delicious."

THE LAKOTAN ★★★★★
"The staff, the food, and the rooms were all excellent. However, it was unfortunate that there were a lot of ticks even though it was winter. First, I started to get itchy before my three dogs, and one of the girls, who usually sleeps the soundest when we're traveling, was unable to sleep at night and was wandering around. I gave her a bath as soon as we got home and took her to the hospital the next day. Two of the three were seriously ill. By the way, I also went to the hospital and was given a topical ointment and oral medication before going home. I used Frontline on all three of my dogs every month, so this was my first experience and I was traumatized. The staff were really kind and polite, so it's a shame. My veterinarian said that if there are so many ticks in this winter in January, there must be a huge number of ticks in the summer...I hope there's some way to improve this..."
Japanese Inn Hanasannsui with Private Wooden Open Bath
"The location was nice, and there was a calm river next to the property, making it a valuable experience to stay in an old farmhouse. However, the building smelled musty, and when we returned home, our entire family was covered in mites. We don't know if they were in the futon or the tatami mats, but even two weeks later, the bites are still itchy, and our child's feet are in terrible condition. We had a fun time, but we won't be returning and I can't recommend it. What a shame."
