Shinra Yoro Valley ★★★★

📍 589-2 Kotadai, Otaki Town, Isumi District, Chiba 298-0265, Otaki

"Very satisfied. Excellent service, great privacy, and a wonderful room. Attention to detail was remarkable. As soon as the car stopped, the hotel staff were already there to welcome you and helped you with your luggage to the front desk. The hotel is new, with a limited number of rooms. The onsen (hot spring) is black water, and the meals are kaiseki cuisine."

"The staff, the food, and the rooms were all excellent. However, it was unfortunate that there were a lot of ticks even though it was winter. First, I started to get itchy before my three dogs, and one of the girls, who usually sleeps the soundest when we're traveling, was unable to sleep at night and was wandering around. I gave her a bath as soon as we got home and took her to the hospital the next day. Two of the three were seriously ill. By the way, I also went to the hospital and was given a topical ointment and oral medication before going home. I used Frontline on all three of my dogs every month, so this was my first experience and I was traumatized. The staff were really kind and polite, so it's a shame. My veterinarian said that if there are so many ticks in this winter in January, there must be a huge number of ticks in the summer...I hope there's some way to improve this..."

"The location was nice, and there was a calm river next to the property, making it a valuable experience to stay in an old farmhouse. However, the building smelled musty, and when we returned home, our entire family was covered in mites. We don't know if they were in the futon or the tatami mats, but even two weeks later, the bites are still itchy, and our child's feet are in terrible condition. We had a fun time, but we won't be returning and I can't recommend it. What a shame."

Shinra Yoro Valley ★★★★
"Overall, it was fantastic. I've never stayed at such a wonderful inn before. It was better than the price would have suggested. I was very satisfied. It wasn't Nitori, but it was "great value for money." The food was excellent, both breakfast and lunch. The lobby had different drinks and snacks, including alcohol, for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and the all-inclusive plan was perfect. The foreign staff also worked very hard and I was impressed, and I wanted to interact with them. The parking attendants, golf cart drivers, and meal service staff all worked hard. I'd definitely stay again. I'd definitely like to stay at Shinra in Tateyama. However, if I had to say one thing, it was a bit of a problem that the room didn't have a luggage rack for my carry-on suitcase. It couldn't be placed on the bed, and putting it on the floor was out of the question. I had no choice but to put it on the table, but it was unusable. Also, the dirt floor at the entrance to the room was too narrow, making it difficult to enter through the door, and my sandals got in the way. I think they should have given more thought to the entrance space."

"We visited in late November, hoping to see the autumn foliage. It was a little early, but we still enjoyed the vibrant reds and yellows of the maple and ginkgo trees throughout the property. Although the inn is old and established, many areas, especially our room, have been beautifully renovated and feature modern facilities. The absolute highlight was the food. Both dinner and breakfast offered generous portions and exquisite flavors. It was my first time trying ayu (sweetfish) with roe, and it was incredibly delicious. We also savored a fine selection of local sake. While there are no private in-room or open-air baths, the hot spring water quality itself was exceptional, feeling very moisturizing on the skin! The only minor drawback is that the views aren't particularly spectacular. If you're seeking a breathtaking scenic rotenburo or lavish seafood, you'd likely need to spend more and choose a different establishment. However, for just over 30,000 yen for two people, we enjoyed delicious food and a wonderfully relaxing stay, making it a truly great trip for us."

"The hotel is clean and the hot springs are comfortable. Due to the typhoon, the flight is delayed. Call the hotel staff will delay the check-in time and get the size of the hotel staff. Let us still enjoy a delicious evening meal when we arrive at 9 pm. Thank you very much for the flexible handling of the hotel. The morning and evening food is of excellent quality."

"Just before the start of the project, we used the space with five team members and two dogs. It was spacious and quiet, with a simple yet high-quality space that was fantastic! We had a relaxing meeting overlooking the greenery, boosted camaraderie with a bonfire and barbecue, and refreshed in the sauna - a truly luxurious experience. It's perfect for training and workshops, and I think it's a place where everyone can be creative while relaxing. We'll definitely use it again!"
