Authent Hotel Otaru

I almost always take care of Mr. Ocent when I go to Otaru. I usually book a twin room, but this time I used travel support, so I rushed to make it a deluxe twin. It was nice and awesome, but it's a little disappointing that a new hotel was built nearby and the view on the sea side was blocked. The staff at the front desk and lounge were also very polite. The cleaning staff passing each other through the corridor 々 and greetings are very pleasant (the same every time I stay) It is convenient to go anywhere for meals and sightseeing. You can go through the arcade to Otaru Station, so it's very helpful when the weather is bad. The food in the hotel is very delicious and it's a really recommended hotel.
Hotel Torifito Otaru Canal

Great stay at Hotel Torifito! The lady who served us was extremely helpful. It was raining when we checked in and she helped us bring our baggage into our rooms and offered to lend us umbrellas! She also told us to park opposite the hotel for more affordable parking! (1100 yen for 24h). The hotel room was very new, bright, clean and spacious too. Will stay here again when we come back to Otaru!
Hotel Dormy Inn Premium Otaru

This inn is actually a hotel in disguise. The amenities and facilities are very user-centred. At the lobby while waiting to check in, you can find free flow of freshly ground coffee at your disposal, hence the lobby reeks of coffee bean aroma. There are multiple lifts serving the guests and they are pretty fast too. For the elderly folks who need a rest, a simple seat is designed within each lift to serve that purpose. How thoughtful is that! The room is cosy and the bedside lamp has a dimmer function to alternate brightness for your convenience. The pillow is splendid and feels like our Tempur pillow back home, providing the firm support that our necks need. The TV system is a smart one as we are able to choose “do not make the room” on our Home Screen. Netflix and YouTube are available too, providing us some entertainment for us who are non-Japanese. The water pressure is good for shower, and there is sliding door that separates the the bedroom and the bath/toilet areas. The buffet breakfast is worth our money as we find everything is so systematic. Every staff knows exactly what to do, and it is not chaotic at all. A food spread that can match a 5-star hotel, which includes grilled scallops, grilled mackerel and salmon, and even crab meat omelette for your dining pleasures. We stayed only for 2 nights but are extremely happy with the hotel! (Located next to JR Otaru station)
Unwind Hotel & Bar Otaru

we made a short trip to Otaru to visit some of its good izakayas, we took a room with 4 beds, it was a nice surprise the distribution of the spaces in the room. Our room had two almost separate areas, in the main area two beds and a couch, the second area was a small terrace with the other two beds, the access to the terrace was a staircase in the room. the terrace was a very pleasant space, even though it is not possible to stand in the terrace area because the ceiling is very low, the terrace gives an air of independence being in the same room, each bed has its space to recharge the cell phone and has an independent lamp. our room had an elegant glass balcony with a beautiful view. the shower area is very elegant with a fairly modern and clean design. the television system was fun too, our room had a projector with a very good video quality I really liked my stay at the hotel and I hope to stay there again soon
Hotel Neu Schloss Otaru

I stayed in Oceanfront Royal Suite Room 805. The circular floor on the top floor, the view of the coast and quay from the living room were wonderfully impressed like a painting. The building that rises on the coast seemed old, but the room was cleanly maintained and comfortable to stay. The view from the living room and bathroom was wonderful and seemed worth staying just to enjoy this view. The furnishings were antique and it was good to match the atmosphere of the resort. The big bathroom is not a hot spring, but it was always good to enter at any time with hot water. I opened the bathroom window and enjoyed the magnificent view of the Sea of Japan while listening to the sound of the waves of the Sea of Japan. It was good that there were enough towels. For dinner, I had a special suite course ”Presil” at the restaurant. There were many items and volumes, so I was able to enjoy it deliciously. The wine was also cheap and good. I was able to get it with a chopsticks, and the female staff were friendly and I had a fun dinner. I asked for white asparagus dishes for additional dishes, but it was very delicious and satisfying. Breakfast was also served at the restaurant with ”creative breakfast”. While enjoying the scenery, I enjoyed a relaxing breakfast at my seat. It was good to be able to get sparkling for free from the morning. As an aside, the unique hairstyle of the male staff was good. I was very satisfied this time. I would like to stay if I had another chance.

This is a hotel I stayed for a family trip. The location is good, it's clean, and the staffs are nice and friendly. However, I was disappointed with the low ceilings and narrow bathroom in the room. The furniture lacks cohesion and appears mismatched. It seems like a room renovation is needed.
