Winkel Village Reviews

I really love this winkel village! It's just a short walk to Asarigawaonsen Ski Resort for skiing. We can enjoy BBQs even in winter and the private outdoor onsen right outside the room is a huge bonus for my family. Definitely planning to return! Great value for the money. Note: We took a taxi from Otaru Station to Winkel Village and it cost around 5,000 yen. The price was reasonable too.

I was able to fully relax with a barbecue and hot spring bath. I'll definitely be back!

Very clean and comfortable.

This is the first time we tried the Onsen in Japan. I was surprised that my girl loves it. The crew will come to replace the Onsen water everyday. The location is good for ski lovers too.

The little cabin was gorgeous, especially beautiful in the snow. It can sleep 6 people; we were just the two of us staying there to go skiing. The Asari River Ski Resort is visible from the back. The small kitchen was fully equipped and very convenient. There's a large supermarket nearby (but they don't accept credit cards). Unfortunately, there's no washing machine. Taking a bath in the bathroom with the window open and snow falling was incredibly relaxing and romantic.

It was convenient as it was within walking distance of the ski resort, and it was great to be able to fully experience Otaru.

The room is well-equipped with tableware. Very suitable for a family trip, it is only a ten-minute walk from the Asarigawa Ski Resort! There are private soup, grills, and ovens! There is a large supermarket just a dozen minutes away by car! I want to book here next time I come to Asarigawa!

I was a little nervous when I booked this hotel. I was worried that the outdoor hot spring would be cold and that the transportation would be inconvenient. After checking in, I found that the scenery here was beautiful, like a white fairy tale world. I took a lot of photos. Although it is not prosperous, the scenery is beautiful. As for the outdoor hot spring, it is really not cold at all in the sub-zero temperature. It is very comfortable. After the bath, just put on the bathrobe and rush into the room to take a bath. Our family of three bathed every day and it was completely fine without feeling cold. However, I was glad that I had arranged to pick up the airport when I first checked in. There are two reasons. 1. Although there is a station not far away, it is a bit difficult to find if you are not familiar with it on a snowy day. After getting familiar with it for a day, you can take a bus from the station at the door to go in and out to play. 2. Because it is a homestay, there are many things that need to be communicated, including garbage classification... You can ask the driver to help communicate, and there will be no problem~

There is heating and the location is very convenient for travel!

I thought it was very old just by looking at the photos on the official website, but I didn't expect that the hot spring tub on the balcony has been updated. The interior is also very neat and clean, and the kitchen equipment is also very complete. You can buy firewood to keep warm at night, the atmosphere is great, and the children had a great time experiencing firewood for the first time. The semi-open-air hot spring is also very comfortable. The quilts and beds are very clean and have no odor. The kitchen is also very well organized and not greasy. The child said that he would go again if there is a chance in the future. Awesome 👏
