We had a perfect stay. But we had also an issue ( big one) from our perspective. After a conversation with the manager, a good and suitable solution was found. And that solution was not only in listening to us and proposing to solve it properly. But also immediately get to work on how to prevent this in the future. Both internally with the employees and also developing communication tools for the guests. In other words, a good practical solution for us, combined with a sustainable working method and communication. This perhaps says more about the management and the lodge than our review. They are open to solving problems, do a lot of education for staff, and tackle a problem pragmatically and sustainably. This way, this lodge - and the associated wildlife - is guaranteed a sustainable and long life.

Very friendly people from the receptionist throughout to the lodge workers outside. Beautiful place for a peaceful weekend. For me, personally, the warm water at the room was a bit too cold to shower with, even when only the warm water tap was opened, but that is not a complaint worth, there was luke warm water. Will definitely visit again.

From walking into reception being welcomed by friendly faces and a refreshing cold tea the welcoming was amazing. Overall experience was great, very helpful staff. Neat and tidy facility with available towels at the swimming pool as well as umbrellas for the rainy weather, overall stay was beyond our imagination.

My husband and I were travelling Namibia in a camper van for 16 days and decided to book this for 2 nights in the middle of our travels. We were not disappointed, had a lovely room, comfortable with tea/coffee facilities and a small fridge. The shower room was gorgeous and very modern. Our room overlooked a water hole and watching the wild life right in front of us was a treat to remember. The insect noises at night time was beautiful. We opted for the breakfast and evening meal package with our room, both meals each day were lovely and thoroughly enjoyed them BUT if your fussy on your evening meals then the menu is one starter and one dessert for everyone and the choice of main is between two. So i would say its a set menu which we didn't mind as we enjoyed both nights meals. There is a vegetarian choice as I heard someone on another table ordering. I had a pamper morning, full neck and back massage booked as well as a full manicure and pedicure whilst hubby went on a bush walk. We did have an evening safari drive booked but the heavens opened and we all got very wet so we came back 10minutes after our set off, luck we did as the rain didnt stop for a while and the water hole in front of our room filled very quickly. The lounge area at reception is very comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area is lovely as the wild life wonder very close for you to watch. We had a pizza around the pool area one lunch time and that was very well prepared and yummie. Would highly recommend staying here, I saw whils there they did self catering chalets too.

We stayed at the Nest which was a few kilometers from the main hotel and very secluded and welcoming it was. Very well equipped with all you need. We got lost on way to the nest , came across one of the staff who promptly escorted to the place. Lovely dinner and breakfast Highly recommend !

We stayed here on our last night in Namibia and weren't too wowed. The place caters to big groups and it is quite loud. Rooms were very spacious and comfy. Food was decent but they didn't really go out of their way to prepare us a vegan meal, despite having communicated prior to our arrival. It was ok, nothing amazing, especially for the steep price you pay. We didnt do any safari activities as we had seen so much wildlife roam freely already and this place felt more like a zoo where they feed the animals. Also, they sell a lot of animal products in the gift shop which is such a disgrace. You come here on safari to enjoy animals, not to see their skins in the gift shop.

We had a wonderful stay at the Otijwa Safari Lodge. Dinner was fantastic with its choice of game and traditional meals. The room was very clean and spacious. Our Sundowner with Eddy was extremely entertaining and the view breath taking.
