"A return visit, we've stayed 5 times and have always been delighted with the atmosphere, the rooms, the food and especially the staff who are all lovely, friendly and want to make your stay as special as possible. Excellent dining, very good vegetarian options. A village with no street lights, no traffic noise and good numbers of the much declined House Martins nesting on the old buildings. Very highly recommended."

"The pub did not indicate that the bedrooms were in the process of been refurbished, my room, No 1, was riddled with damp, so visible in various parts of the room and the bathroom, including plaster coming off the wall. I did complain but to be told they had no spare rooms, not a pleasant room nor experience as they did not seem to like that I had complained. Food mediocre, not worth the money"

"The room was very dark and dated, there were  a few cobwebs but other than that it was basically clean. The bed was lovely, great mattress, lovely clean sheets and extra pillows, we had a great nights sleep. The bathroom was clean as well. The staff were very pleasant and helpful but just not enough of them! We did not have time to make use of the spa, as we were there for a wedding so I cannot comment on that, but other guests told me it was good. I would stay there again."

"Another great stay at Timble Inn which seems to get better and better with every visit. Timble Inn enjoys a glorious setting and never disappoints. Genuinely friendly staff provide impeccable service whether at breakfast or dinner and nothing is too much trouble for them. Rooms are generously sized, have all the amenities you need, are clean, warm and very comfortable. From the village to Ilkley, Harrogate and the beautiful Dales is no more than a short drive. Plenty of parking. We have already booked a return stay. Highly recommended."

"Room are up several sets of stairs, on the plus side there's no noise from the downstairs pub (they have music on Thursdays). There's a second exit to the rear car-park, although the hotel has only 4 spaces it backs onto the large North Parade car park. The location is close by the river which has a nice bank-side walk and it's within walking distance of everything else in Otley. I can't comment on the dinner as the chef was on maternity leave and evening meals were 'off' but the cooked breakfast was fine and the range of beers and ales in the bar was good. Rooms are comfortable but quite small, from memory there's 4 or 5 in what seems to be loft conversion. My room was shower only via an instant electric heater which was actually OK. Other facilities in the room were fine, with a small desk, kettle, wardrobe etc. An annoyance was the room doors are on automatic closers, probably for fire regs, and other guests did let them slam shut. I'm sure closers can be adjusted so avoid that! WiFi was OK, but they were having some problems when I was there, maybe linked to the till not accepting credit cards. I paid via *********** to resolve that. All in all, I thought decent value and really nothing startling to complain about. "
