The staff was very friendly. They offered suggestions for places to eat. The only draw back was that the breakfast had little to choose from.

Nice
I stayed at the La Quinta as it is right down the street from my daughter's new house and I was moving her out of the dorm. It was a lot nicer than I thought. The breakfast was nice, more than just muffins and cereal. It had eggs, potatoes, and waffles. My only complaint as is with all hotels in Oxford is that they jack the prices up during certain weekends. We ended up staying a day less because of this.

Complications fixed and ended Great!
We have stayed at LaQuinta in Oxford about four times in last three years and usually we have a great experience. Unfortunately this stay we had two issues, however the GM did his best to correct. First was room 103, it is a heavily used first floor and we requested a second floor room which was accommodated and exceptional. The beds were very comfortable, pillows too. We enjoy the free hot breakfast and convenience to Oxford Square and OleMiss.
The second issue was they accidentally charged us in full on check in on debit card but did a full rate hold causing a $4,000 debit/hold and inconvenience. The account fixed the mistake three days into our five day stay, luckily we had other funds for restaurants and other plans.
Overall it was a good stay afterwards.

Loved the bed!
Check in was a breeze and the staff was great. The room was nice. And the bed was wonderful! Hated to leave it. My 2 complaints was that the a/c wouldn’t shut off or let us adjust it so we ended up having to unplug it. The other thing is the toilet seats are made for a 2 year old. Higher seats would be nice. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay & would come again.

Checking in with personable staff member. Nice pool area. Breakfast had good choices but things were not refilled and available the second day. Reported the light had gone out in the room and was told no one was available or on-call. Stated he would call the manager. I heard nothing back. Light didn’t get fixed.

After staying at the LaQuinta for 4 1/2 years through my daughter's college experience, I have to say this was the most disappointing experience by far. My daughter needed a late check out on Sunday. I have always had late check out here. Check out was 11:00. I asked for a later check out. They would not do it So I had to pay for an extra night for my daughter to check out at 3:00.
We asked for a late check out because my daughter was having senior portraits taken at 1:00 and couldn't lug all her luggage around campus.

Overall very good stay with exception of breakfast. Ran out of eggs on 2 of the six mornings and no gravy for the biscuits on 3 of the days. Breakfast area was not kept well stocked with items like plates and flatware. Kept needing to go into kitchen and ask young man playing on his phone to stock items. This happened on multiple mornings.
