Looks absolutely horrible from the outside. Everything else was booked so we have it a shot based on the reviews. Very clean. Was pleasantly surprised and relieved

Stayed here for weekend activities in Jacksonville, AL at JSU Stadium. Picked location due to ratings and reasonable proximity to weekend activities. Check in went well and lady at front desk very polite & courteous. Outside appearance of was that of older style motel showing signs of upkeep with paint, but online photos definitely looked better than real life. Upon entering room the reality of the 60's vintage motel took hold as room lacked any modernization features except all carpet had been removed and replaced with vinyl flooring. Wall unit hvac units worked fine. Bathroom tub area & mattress also apparently updated at some recent time. Bathroom walls bulged from apparent water damage from previous leaks and bathroom vent full of lint in ceiling. Room generally not clean on floors and in corners. Found some oil based product on floor and wiped it up and turned kleenex black. Hotel needs some renovation in time and some immediate emphasis placed on cleaning with an abundance of drywall work in the bathrooms on walls & ceilings needing done. Could see daylight out room door to outside, no weather stripping at all, so easy access for critters & air passing through the visible openings. Not sure how this place maintains its rating but is way overrated compared to what I physically observed on the property. I can not recommend.

I had an emergency with my husband, he is a over the road truck driver. He was admitted in the hospital. So when I got in the room the phone didn't work. The fire alarm was removed. The bathroom door would not shut do to parts missing, there was a large hole in the shower wall and molded, the curtain rod was about to fall in the tub. The plugs casing was broke on most all of the outlets. I was not able to access the Wi-Fi from there. They did not have the continental breakfast available. But the staff was very friendly and nice, and did wash all our bedding including the quilt. The hospital would only allow one overnight guess so had to get the room for bathing and one guess to sleep.
