The Garden City Hotel is among the finest on all of Long Island. Care is taken at every turn, service is impeccable and its location could not be nicer. Easy to walk to a lovely part of the downtown, and viewing the surrounding homes is like taking an architecture class.

The hotel room had a moldy, old carpet smell. I couldn’t stop sneezing the minute I walked in. The tvs are 20 inches and you can barely see what you’re watching. This hotel needs a serious upgrade, if your 20-40 years old don’t bother going, leave this for the senior citizens because it resembles an assisted living facility.

The reception gave us the room on the 2F. Below is a bar or something loud music making a lot of noise couldn't sleep well. And we have friends coming for often, we feel bad if we send them to the hotel have the same experience

The Hotel is very nice, The only thing that bothered me was the blankets, towels and robes are very scratchy, defiently not comfortable. I was up all night because the blanket was hard and rough and not cozy at all. The Restaurant salt rock was delicious but if you get the surf and turf just understand it's a very small portion and very expensive. The brunch looked and smelled amazing. I wish I ate there instead of the dinner we had.

Beautiful hotel, however, we were ignore at the valet to park our car. I had to ask the gentleman to assist. We pulled up right infront of valet a still completely ignore. Check in was gentleman was not friendly at all. Very dry serious.

Great staff. Hotel is clean and efficient. They are always busy on the weekend when I have stayed there. The gym is too small, especially when the equipment is broken. And spaces are not available because they are reserved for private functions but guests are not notified adequately
