Terra House

I really wanted to leave a positive review because I loved the location – quiet, surrounded by nature – but I need to be objective. There are roosters, chickens, a cat, and four large dogs roaming the property. The dogs bark every time you walk by, but they're harmless. All of this creates a lot of dirt, so you have to wear shoes right up to your bed. The toilet and shower are outside. Taking a shower is extremely uncomfortable – it's cold, and the showerhead is tiny. The toilet is absolutely horrific. So many ants... they crawl all over your legs while you're doing your business, and there are a lot of them... My first thought when I saw my bed was that it looked occupied. I bought it because there was a lot of small debris on the bedding. Check-in is self-service. You find your room, walk in, and that's it. On the plus side: * The location * A cozy (but very tiny) room * A great blanket, mattress, and pillow * They gave me water upon arrival, thank you! And earplugs. Paicy Pai is nearby. I recommend checking it out.

There were lots of adorable cats around the inn. The friendly lady at the nearby store spoke English, so I went there every day to buy sausages and treats to tame the inn's dogs. I think the food has helped reduce the amount of barking they do. 🤣 The dog smell is strong, so I wish they'd wash the dog and the futon they sleep on...

The room was quite alright; it was relatively compact with two bunk beds. The location is a bit out of the way, but still perfectly fine; you can walk to the main pedestrian area in 10-15 minutes. There are also four dogs living on the hostel grounds/terrace. One of them always starts barking as soon as you want to go into the room, so there's a bell at the front fence. The hostel owner then comes and calls the dogs back. The toilets are outside and somewhat basic.
