Cherwood Guest House

This was my first Solo holiday & From the minute I arrived at the lovely Guest House , Jo & Martin were the perfect hosts and made me feel very welcome. My room had everything I needed and more , the little extras like hand cream , bottle of cold water, a lovely note book & pen were a very nice treat . The delicious breakfasts were cooked freshly by Martin & there were lots of choices too. Jo always had time for a chat & nothing was too much trouble , she shared her knowledge of nice places to visit which was much appreciated. I can honestly say that The Cherwood is one of the nicest places I've stayed in , Jo & Martin are very lovely people & I for sure will be booking another stay there in the Near Future, I highly recommend a stay here if anyone is planning a trip to Paignton in Devon ..You will Not regret it . First time here and wow from the minute we walked through the door we had the best, most comfortable stay! Martin and Jo were the most welcoming host nothing was to much to ask for and were always available either in person or on the phone 24 hours! The rooms were spotless, beautiful and so comfortable with every thing you need and more and so quiet. The bed was so comfortable that I wanted to take it home with us! Breakfast was one of the best we have had had 1st day cooked breakfast, 2nd day eggs Benedict plus all the continental things you would want, with a lovely atmosphere and great hosting. When it was time to leave I didn’t feel rushed like you normally do in other places! Thanks Martin and Jo we will definitely be back! Tina and Ian Watkins

5 out of 5 isn't enought should be higher,Paignton's finest B&B wonderful hosts fantastic Breakfast every morning and comfy bed and In a lovely en suite room,will not hesitate to book again. My Mother loves the B&B which is a recommendation alone. Very accessible for The Sea Train/Bus Station and Town.

Lovely guesthouse! Very clean, good quality bed linen, big towels and comfy bed. Little extras provided like cotton wool and a notebook. Friendly hosts and decent breakfast. Highly recommended.

Had a fantastic 2 night break here with my wife. Jo and Martin were lovely hosts and were happy to have a chat over breakfast or when you checked in, and would also give you some local tips on where to go, what to do. The room itself was spacious and immaculately clean. Tea, coffee and biscuits are also provided. Breakfast was incredible and we didn't need to eat again until the early evening. Car parking spots are available on a first come first served basis and cost £7.50 a night. The car park is a two minute walk from the hotel. We'll definitely be coming back at some point. My fifth year staying in cherwood b&b, as in the past a fabulous stay, recently redecorated inside and outside, Jo and Martin are fantastic hosts cannot do enough for you, breakfast to die for with a great menu too suit everyone going next year and many more, thank you Jo and Martin for making me feel very welcome.
