Excellent guest house with excellent hosts. The breakfasts are to die for. You would not need to eat all day. The hosts Steve & Dawn are great nothing is too much trouble. The guess house is very family friendly. It has a bar which is well stocked

Last minute booking in Paignton, literally day before, so didn't expect too much, but how wrong was I !!! what a lovely finding !! checking in was from 14 :30, but we have arrived earlier to explore the town. We have left car in front of the hotel and walk into the harbour, took us around 10 minutes only. checked in around 2pm and been told there's actually car park at the back of the property, which I wasn't aware due to last minute booking : ) Room was very good size, spacious with beautiful view. 4 poster bed was not only looking stunning but also very comfy, we have had great night sleep. Toiletries were available in en-suite private bathroom along with plenty of towels. Complimentary tea, coffee, milk and even sparkling water which was nice gesture. There's back garden with barbeque for the quests and licence bar in the lounge. Breakfast was served in the morning and it was lovely, everything cooked perfectly and you have plenty to choose from. Owner was very lovely and helpful and has to mention how quiet this place is as well. We haven't heard any of the other guests and place was fully booked as we've seen on the breakfast next day. Usually you can hear someone walking down the stairs or watching tv next doors or talking loudly, we didn't hear any of this here, like walls are soundproof or something. Great value for the price.

Me and my new husband Stayed here for a honeymoon. Dawn and Steve went above a d beyond for us. Can't rare this place enough. Beautiful room and excellent home cooked breakfast . Stunning location and nice and quiet

I never thought I'd say this but I want to tell all of you , who attacked me and my family Big Thank You All From Heart, dear!. You have all brought my Savior and God CLOSER to me, the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. Your entire crowd of jackals, ran away in Coventry like mice from the second floor when My Savior Jesus Christ came there. My God, even from the worst situation, is able to do good!!. Your daddy LIAR, cannot do anything good. Praise and Honor to Son Of GOD Jesus Christ Savior now and Forever. Birchwood House ideally placed for visiting the English Riviera and the surrounding area, private off road parking which is always a bonus. We received a very warm welcome from our hosts Dawn and Steve, our room was light, airy and extremely comfortable with complimentary tea, coffee biscuits etc which were replenished daily, also toiletries for our personal use. The choices for breakfast were amazing, every taste catered for and beautifully cooked by Steve. We really enjoyed our stay in a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, ideal for couples and a happy welcoming place for all ages. Many thanks Dawn and Steven x

Dawn and Steve were excellent host! Made you feel very welcome and that nothing was too much. The room was spotless and comfortable - breakfast was excellent. Was lovely to be able to have a drink and relax downstairs rather than going out and that was never a problem for them. Had a fabulous stay at the Birchwood House Hotel. We stayed for one week and were very much welcomed. Rooms were to a very high standard and there was lots of choice at breakfast time. It felt like home from home and nothing was too much trouble for Dawn & Steve. Would definitely go back.
