"Dhow Inn is the epitome of a great hotel right on tbe beach. Cool calm colours, top service and amazing pools. Its very relaxed without that big plastic resort feel. 10 out of 10!"

Paje Beach Apartments & Hotel
8.9 (42 reviews)

Paje Beach Apartments & Hotel ★★★

📍 Zanzibar, Paje

"Had a lovely stay here, staff are super friendly and can’t do enough for you, accommodation is excellent and very clean and you are right on the beach. Ocean restaurant is attached to the hotel and does a nice breakfast for residents and is then open for lunch and dinner (very reasonably priced). There is also a lovely bar area and a couple of small supermarkets easily walkable should you need anything."

Nebo Studio Apartments
9.5 (2 reviews)

Nebo Studio Apartments ★★

📍 Zanzibar South-East, Paje, Paje

"As the name implies, these are serviced apartments, it’s not a hotel. The location is slightly further from the beach than most tourist conveniences, but Paje is not big (we’re talking anbout 350m), and not being on the centre of tourism suits me better. It is quiet, has everything one needs, and John, the manager, was great. I would definitely stay here again. The only thing I might suggest was a discomfort, was that when we had one of the notorious big island-wide blackouts for almost 12 hours, Nebo wasn’t the most prepared. I actually come from a country that has struggled with constant electricity for several years. Generators, solar lights, and more than anything, reassurance for tourists who may not know the area, are useful. The cooker is gas, and cellphones come with torches, so I was completely fine. It just would have been good I think, given how quiet it was, to check. I’d still recommend it."

Paje by Night
8.4 (31 reviews)

Paje by Night ★★★

📍 by Night Street, Paje

"I didn't stay at Paje by night but I came for the yoga classes. I had a weekly pass and attended at least one class every day. Palma is a great teacher, after a few sessions I had a good understanding of the ashtanga yoga, and she shared some videos and a pdf booklet of the postures to continue the practice when back home. She was always open to adapt the class to the needs or wishes of those who attended it. I liked the setting of the yoga studio as well, covered but still having the feeling of being outside and well ventilated. I recommend the class to those looking for a relaxing holiday in Paje. "

Frangi'Pwani

Frangi'Pwani ★★★

📍 beach road, Paje

"Super beautiful hotel: rooms are spacious comfortable and clean, the pool is super nice and very warm, it feels like a SPA :). The restaurant has plenty of food options, it is very good and not pricey! The staff was great from booking all throughout our stay. They were very helpful at all times and can help arrange trips and transfers. We weren't sure if we were going to stay in Paje the whole week, but we felt so good here and enjoyed Paje so much that we did. A heartful Thank you to all the staff, specially Joseph for all his kindness and attention with us and our daughter - he's a star! Also Triana and Sara, the owner for making us feel home!"

The Garten Living ★★★
"I recently returned from a solo trip to Zanzibar, where I had the pleasure of staying at The Garden Living Hotel. From start to finish, the experience exceeded my expectations in every way. The service was outstanding—warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made me feel completely at ease throughout my stay, offering assistance and recommendations that added a personal touch to the experience. The food was another highlight. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and full of local flavor. Whether it was breakfast, a light lunch, or dinner, the culinary offerings consistently impressed. The location of the hotel is equally remarkable. Nestled in a serene and beautifully maintained setting, it offers a peaceful retreat while still being conveniently close to key attractions and the coastline. The ambiance of the area perfectly matched the relaxed, rejuvenating nature of the trip. I would highly recommend The Garden Living Hotel to anyone considering a trip to Zanzibar—whether traveling solo, as a couple, or in a group. It’s a destination I would happily return to. Thank you for the hospitality Kind regards, Sir DH aka David Herman"

"Beautiful bed & breakfast run by a kind and friendly Italian lady. Excellent location, close to the sea and the center of Paje. The rooms are spotless, spacious, and equipped with air conditioning, a safe, and a beautiful bathroom with guaranteed and plentiful hot water. There's a lovely pool! The breakfast is varied, high-quality, and plentiful. You can also enjoy lunch and dinner at a very reasonable price, including excellent Italian specialties. In my opinion, this is an exceptional place to stay in Paje."
