Firstly. PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT THE HOTEL TAX AT 70€ per couple per week IS CASH ONLY!!!!!!! I wish we’d known this as it took most of our cash away. CASH ONLY? Other Greek islands we’ve been to have always taken cards. We were rather surprised. So be prepared. Good points. The view was absolutely breathtaking. The hotel is set in a bay with hilly roads up both sides. We had a sea view room with spacious balcony just behind the reception area, however many complained as they were a long uphill walk away from the restaurant and beach. We found the food excellent. Fresh sardines, grilled fish, pork and chicken. Fresh salads of all types and amazing creamy feta. There was also plain pasta and various sauces for those who prefer plain food. Soft Drinks on tap and draught lager. The staff were all very happy and polite, always helping. Our room was spotless with crispy pure white sheets and soft towels. Fridge in room with water. A few downsides: Drinking wine from plastic cups was awful. There were odd wine glasses we saw people with, but they seemed to be “in with the barman” and when we asked we were told we had to have plastic. The room was cleaned every 3 days. The tissue bin was over flowing by then as no loo roll was allowed down the toilet. Not hygienic, and we had to ask for it to be changed. No safe in room, unusual for a 4*. Road up hill to the rooms was slippery when wet. Sun beds on beach we had to pat 7.50 euro each bed each day, and our hotel owned them!!! 3 pools around the hotel, but no toilets near them so a bit of a problem if needed to go. Long walk to toilets either back at your own room, or in main restaurant. No evening entertainment. Bar served warm wine.
