Desert Riviera Hotel

I always love my stay at Desert Riviera. Palm Springs is my go to destinations. The rooms at Desert Riviera are quaint and well appointed. The service is great, the staff seem to really care about me and go out of their way to make sure I have everything I need. This particular stay, I was pretty much alone there which I love. This is a place you could enjoy year round, my next visit may be during winter.

We were so glad to have chosen this hotel, thanks to all the great reviews. It was so much to our liking. Sparkling clean (thank you, housekeeping), comfortable and attractive accommodations with a well stocked kitchenette (toaster, Keurig). Homey and relaxed atmosphere outdoors and poolside. Lots of amenities. Great coffee and continental breakfast. The staff are super friendly and go over the top to make your stay special. They do nice things all day (big thanks to Terry) and we appreciated the generosity. Traci and Steve made sure to greet all of the guests daily and engage us in lively and welcoming conversation. Steve also gave us great info to plan our days in and around Palm Springs.

One of the best places I’ve stayed at, without any extra fees. Clean, quiet and relaxing. There was a welcome drink, snacks and bottled water in the room, continental breakfast with a good variety, heated pool, laundry facility…the list goes on. It’s also relatively close to the downtown area but without the hustle and bustle. I will definitely stay at the Desert Riviera next time I’m in Palm Springs (unless all the rooms are booked…there are only 11 or so.)

Came here with some friends and was a lot of fun. People like this so much that they come back each year. Staff is super friendly! A+! I was able to lounge and work around the pool. Good wifi overall. There was always water, snacks, and juices available, which I love. The pool area is SUPER SUPER cute. And it's so accessible to every room!

This midcentury modern gem, The Desert Riviera, must be experienced to believe! My recent trip was with my mother. We are both return guests - myself three times a year for many years now- and here's why.... The staff is outstanding. Thank you Manager Traci, and Steve and Teri and Corbin. Customer service is next level. The housekeeping staff is also exceptional. Rooms are immaculate. Shout-out to handyman, Leo, who is always available for anything needed. Eleven rooms around a delightful pool heated to 92 degrees , with a secluded hot tub steps away....What more could one ask for ? How about bikes to rides, breakfast to enjoy, a fire pit to savour your morning coffee, BBQ's to relax and grill. and by mid afternoon its time for popcorn and a specialty drink poolside. Endless thank yous to the Desert Riviera Staff for going above and beyond each and everyday! See you in the Fall- can't wait!

We were in town for a wedding and didn't want to stay at a big noisy hotel. We were so happy that we chose the Desert Riviera. It was more than we could ever have wished for. We were greeted by Steve, who immediately made us feel welcome. He showed us where to find 24hr coffee and drinks (hot and cold) and then took us to our room. It was spacious and well stocked. There was a lovely welcome bowl filled with hiking foods, electrolyte powder and snacks. There was a kitchenette with a Keurig and accompaniments. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable . The bathroom was clean, bright and well stocked, shower, no bath. (we knew about this and it was just fine). There are only 8 rooms of which 7 face the heated pool. There were clean, comfortable loungers, lots of clean soft towels, pool noodles and floaters, whatever one wanted for the water. There are cruiser bikes (we took a couple of long bike rides), golf clubs, books, movies....all included in your hotel stay. The breakfast is continental, bagels, toast, muffins, cereal, granola, hard boiled eggs, yoghurt, fruit, jams, danishes. You can eat these at the tables on the patio outside your room or lazing around the fire pit or at the dining table in your room. The cleaning staff are meticulous in their work, and also very friendly. Steve, Corbin and Tracy at the front office were all most pleasant and most helpful. I would not stay anywhere else ....we even brought over a few friends from the wedding to come and see "our place" and they wished they had booked here instead of their more expensive hotels with less amenities.

This hotel is excellent! Done in 50s kitsch, like much of Palm Springs, the hotel and grounds are beautifully maintained. Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast is nothing fancy, but quite good. Housekeeping was beyond reproach. You could eat off of the floor once they finished. Our only complaint was the day we decided to take it easy and relax by the pool, some guy played this Andean-Enya-zephyr pan flute crap…all day long! We were told he was hired by the owner. Dear owner, silence is golden! If guests want to listen to music, we have various devices and headphones for this purpose.

The kind, friendly welcome at check in set the tone for an amazing stay at this property! The rooms are spacious with a retro mid century design (with some original details included) which my husband and I both appreciated. So many thoughtful details made our stay a pleasant one - small bowl of snacks, a couple La Croix in fridge, welcome beverage at check in, great toiletries, to mention a few. Pool area is beautifully maintained and the outdoor kitchen that’s available for use help to give you that indoor/outdoor living that those of us from the colder area’s only dream about this time of year! Looking forward to coming back in November!

This is an outstanding hotel. It is spotlessly clean, the pool and hot tub great, and everything is done professionally throughout the day. Also complimentary popcorn and margaritas at sundown! But what makes it unique is the friendliness and kindness of the staff who go out of their way to create a community of friends. Special thanks to Steven the fabulous host - hope we get back sometime
