Fergus Club Palmanova Park

First time away in many years and this hotel did not disappoint.Friendly staff,their language fluency was amazing,very clean hotel,lovely food with pizza chips and pasta available every day/night with differnet themes (ie mexican) each night and always easily available. Pool was a little cold but you got use to it but very clean and safe with life guards at both pools.10min walk from beach,Lidl and other shops and resturants.Already looking into booking next years

This hotel is a great family hotel. The rooms are clean and a good size. The food is well cooked and a good variety, my daughter always found something to eat, the Nutella dispenser was a big hit for her. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The pools are great although very cold at this time of year. My only other concern at this time of year is that the evening entertainment is outside and although we brought jackets it still was quite cold, could do with some sort of outdoor heaters. We would definitely visit again.

Excellent hotel for families. The pools and slides are great, my children who are 6 and 10 spent hours on them - as well as my husband! There is am excellent choice of food and drinks, the staff are friendly and the entertainment team, especially the mini disco! We are a family who always stay all inclusive, and have never been to the same hotel twice ... except for this one! We went last August and everyone enjoyed it so much we decided to come back ... and the kids are already asking when we will be going there again!

We have just spent a week here with a 4 yr old. The place was comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful, although maybe a bit more attention to cleanliness in the rooms and corridors is needed. The pool area was clean and the staff very good and stopping any bad behaviour of older kids. The food was fresh and kept well replenished though out service times. We enjoyed day trips to the Aquarium, not a great cafe, with the food a bit poor, & Katmandu, which was very good value for money, with us spending near 7 hours there, their cafe wasnt expensive and the food was good. For the most part we enjoyed our stay but we clashed with near football clubs of about 200 young teenage boys. A few were well behaved and respectful but on our corridor we had a bunch of them who whooped, clapped, ran up & down & shouted late into the evening and on several occasions banged on doors, scaring our 4 yr old. We complained as did others around the hotel but we felt the issue was not really addressed properly. We would go back but would certainly be asking if any large groups are booked.

We arrived for a week with 2 young children. Upon arrival the hotel was clean, modern and very welcoming. We were greeted immediately with a smile and we waited to check in. The process was smooth and quick. We had the Magnus room, so it came with a whirlpool. The room was clean and had plenty for us to use, there was a coffee machine, microwave ans kettle which was handy! The whirlpool was great and we used it every day! The cleaners were fab and would clean every day to a high standard and were very friendly. The buffet was fabulous, there was always plenty of choices and it was mixed up daily too. There was plenty for the children to pick to eat at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was always cooked perfectly and was super tasty! They also had a snack bar which served some pastries, burger, chips, hot dogs, pastas and fruit, sometimes puddings too. Again the chefs were all friendly and the food was always replenished quickly and cooked perfectly. There were two pools, one which was perfect for the kids as they had a huge balloon shooting water out the top, the kids loved climbing this and jumping down! The other side of the pool there were 4 slides, there were always life guards and they were very observant and polite. The second pool was bigger and deeper, but it did have a shallower side for children too protected by a barrier. Unfortunately at this time of the year the water was freezing, our youngest has Raynaurds so unfortunately didn't go in the pools, but the eldest was having a blast in both pools. We were grateful for the whirlpool for the little one to play in. The entertainment people were fabulous and really made the holiday great. They love their job and it really shows in the efforts they put in every day during the daily games, kids club and the evening entertainment. We didn't stay for the evening entertainment but we did enjoy the kids mini disco every evening! Each member of staff from the reception, cleaners, chefs, entertainers, managers absolutely everyone gave the kids so much attention and always greeted us with a smile. We really have enjoyed this holiday and the staff made the kids so happy which made us happy! We really will hope to come back one summer when the water is warmer! Great experience all round but I won't come back as smoker's are not accomadated for !, only allowed to smoke at outside reception, I understand people shouldn't smoke near children but as we are all in the open air I feel this could be remedied easily by putting a place for smoker's in the hotels grounds somewhat out of the way where they are not ostracised and can feel apart of the hotel community ,having only one place to smoke in the hotel at the front door outside reception feels extremely alienating and unfair, even e cigs are frowned upon on the premises, I feel smoker's should have some rights too,!!! And this spoilt my overall experience which could of been wonderful otherwise, many others I spoke to felt exactly the same as me and being a mostly open air hotel, I feel smoker's should absolutely be made to feel welcome and not ostracised.
