Lets start with the good bits first and just to let you know the bad bits arent awful. Location is good. Its a 2 minute stroll to the beach with plenty of bars, restuarants and shops all very close. The rooms are clean and big enough for a couple. Balcony with chairs overlooking the pool. Showers work well and plenty of hot water. Beds comfortable with soft pillows. Fridge, hairdryer and kettle in the room. Lots of sunbeds by the pool. Reception staff welcoming and Dolores who works the bar is lovely. Plenty of food to choose from at mealtimes. On the review I have just given you would think Globales Panama would get 5 stars but it doesnt. Despite all its good points Globales Panama is lacking and I wouldnt book there again. Although there was plenty of choice for food, the hot food was overcooked, meat was dry and it was not very warm. Apart from breakfast, which was generally good compared to the other meals, the hot food selection just wasnt overly appetising (and I am not a fussy eater). Although we paid for AI, we didnt bother eating at the hotel apart from breakfast. The bar/entertainment area had no atmosphere. We didnt bother staying for the animation/entertainment as the hotel area didnt really make you want to stay there and enjoy the facilities. The daily housekeeping was average. Clean towels if you required them but that was about it. The room was not cleaned daily. The walls of the room are very thin. We had a group of guys staying next to us who would get in from partying in the early hours of the morning and although they were being respectful of their neighbours and just chatting you could hear them. So the sleep quality was very poor. If you want to just use the hotel as a base for exploring the rest of the resort and island then it would be ok if you dont mind disturbed sleep.
