Decapolis Hotel Panama City Reviews

The Deluxe King room with sea views was not refurbished and appeared in a state of disrepair (as evidenced in the accompanying photographs). Consequently, we were downgraded to a lower floor room without views, which offered views of the shopping center’s roofs. The wardrobe was malfunctioning, and the bedding was stained and grey. Additionally, the shower lacked proper sealing, allowing water to spill onto the floor even it is in the bathtub rather than the shower unit. The breakfast was unsatisfactory, with limited options available and almost nothing left after 8:00 AM. Despite its four-star rating, the overall experience was highly disappointing.

After the first night we asked to change to a higher floor. Not only did we get a higher floor, but we also got a free upgrade to a suite, with liviingroom, bedroom, kitchenette and 2 toilets. The walk in closet was also very handy. It felt like home. Unfortunately the pool was not very relaxing. The area was pretty small and they were playing music way too hard.

When I checked in they said my reservation was for 1 night when I showed them the confirmation was actually for 4 nights. Then the front desk kept telling me their policy was to charge additional if I had a second person in the room. The booking says 2 occupancy. When I told them I was a solo traveler they kept telling me they would charge extra for another occupant. I found this insulting and humiliating that they ask me no less than 3 times. I previously lived in Panama and I know this. Is not the typical service and questioning of guest. I will never stay there again and I will definitely share my story with friends and family!

The spa was closed, breakfast was average, and the room was very noisy.

The hotel is super nice, the staff are always very friendly and attentive, everything is lovely.

This hotel is amazing and worth the money, super central to everything, friendly staff, good entertainment, great breakfast included. No complaints at all plus very very clean rooms

This is a very overvalued hotel, in reality the amenities are quite a low standard, rooms need minor renovations, and the housekeeping and maintenance services need proper improvement! Maintenance issues: the sink had overspread issue, drainage issue, toilet had overfilling issue with a noise, shower vents didn’t close fully, unless you master the “secret”; floor in the bathroom was steep towards the bedroom area, instead of being steep towards the drainage hole, the entrance door wouldn’t close without noise because of touching the floor.. Housekeeping: they attended the room only after i asked and reminded. Even then they once didn’t clean the floor, twice didn’t provide refills of the amenities (water, tissues, etc.). Only after my kind complaint to the reception, they finally fixed the issues. The reception and restaurant staff are very nice, kind, and attentive! Thanks and well done!

Excellent and varied breakfast. Housekeeping occasionally forgot to restock amenities.

So nice place , just pull have only half day sun but food and personal is so great . Love it ❤️

I've been traveling often to Panama, and Decapolis Hotel has been one of my favorites for years now. A shopping mall upfront with many outlet shops of big brands and the Pattilla Hospital just meters away (in case of any medical issues). A friendly and professional staff, a very good breakfast, a Great SPA with sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, and fantastic treatments, outdoor pool, and gym on the same floor. Big spacious rooms ( We were upgraded to a Junior suite this time, courtesy of the management) A very easy access to all neighborhoods, districts, and routes in Panama.

Nice hotel, good service, and good food. Close to the sea.

Very friendly staff. Most don’t speak English. There was absolutely nothing for me to eat at the complimentary breakfast due to dietary needs. I’ve never had that before. The rooms were not updated  since the Vietnam War. The floors in the room were greasy. The toilet didn’t have enough power to get everything down. Other than that it was wonderful! Did I mention the friendly staff?
