The Beach

I was disappointed with the room. I wanted to treat my friend and I so went for the highest rated and most pricey option in Bude…but i was really disappointed. The room was tiny. There was a balcony that backed on to Sainsbury’s car park but you had to stand on a chair to see beyond the fence (fine since who wants to see that ) but it was so drab. A few flower pots or something would have made it a bit nicer. It also backed onto a huge extractor or some sort that was constantly noisy and pumped out chicken fat smells. If the room was a lot less I wouldn’t have been disappointed but for the price it just was terrible value. We didn’t sleep at all. It was so noisy. No air con but the fan was good. Shower system (matki so a premium brand) was not well conditioned. It was hard to turn the controls and the rainfall head was totally blocked. The hand shower was stuck in an odd angle that couldn’t be adjusted - however once you worked out how to get water only to come out of that outlet it was super powerful which was good. That aside. Receptionist super friendly. Room was nicely decorated. Breakfast was nice and the servers were beyond accommodating and friendly. There really is actually no parking - you need to park in Sainsbury’s carpark behind the hotel and it’s £8.50 a day (ringo) I was in room 9- so avoid that room.

Stayed 2 nights. Booked a deluxe room with sea view. We were not disappointed. The room was very spacious, clean, nicely decorated. The bathroom was also lovely, large bath and shower cubicle with twin sinks, again, lovely. There's a fridge in the room. We had a fantastic view of the beach. The staff were lovely. Breakfast was great. We didn't eat from Elements the restaurant but it was busy and the food looked lovely. The only issue is parking. We'd rung the hotel to book so they very kindly reserved a space right outside for us. There is parking on the streets but it gets very busy due to location. The location is amazing, right on the beach and right next to the main street with restaurants and shops. Have to say, not many pubs/bars but we had a drink in our hotel which has a gorgeous terrace to sit and watch the beach. Fabulous. I highly recommend this hotel and we would definitely return here.

Two nights bed and breakfast booked through Secret Escapes. Friendly and engaging welcome. All crew a delight. Small attic room #14 with sea views. Clean and very well equipped with good quality towels, linen and bath robs. Decent loo rolls and wooden hangers. Spacious en suite with decent shower. We did not risk dinner as breakfast was a bit of a disaster. First morning a "full Cornish." Mostly overcooked or kept under a heat lamp. I needed a chain saw for the black pudding whilst crispy bacon is one thing, brittle quite another. Scrambled eggs the following day were passable but ironically the sourdough had a scant meeting with the toaster. Plastic plants which serve no aesthetic purpose. Apart from that, excellent value.

Budeful Stay Great experience. Friendly, efficient staff. Great cuisine. Super location. Would definitely recommend the canal walk then back via the cliffs - Just ask Bridget for route.

Lovely staff, lovely stay. Will visit again. Quite a few dog hairs on the carpet in the room but hey ho, no big deal and it's a wonderful place.

Seen this place from the beach so took a walk up the hill ,, for some food as we knew the view would be amazing, this is a hotel but we just used the restaurant, waited on for foods and drinks , beautiful restaurant and views , we both had fish and chips , and it was absolutely delicious, staff were very welcoming, would definitely visit again if in Bude
