Wonderful place to stay. Very comfortable accommodation, run by lovely people in an amazing location close to many activities. We stayed two nights, walked to the next village, also did a walk by the river and had excellent food at the restaurant next door. Couldn’t ask for more!!

I never felt more welcome! Georgio, makes you feel home from the moment you place the reservation till you have to leave. Breakfast is Yummy the bed is commfy and the view! WoW Wow Wow it was our second time over there in Papigo, there will be a third

They are very kind hosts that make you feel very welcome and confortable. Jurgos speaks good English, and his wife even speaks Italian! It has an amazing location and views and an incredible breakfast with plenty of homemade products. But it is still a very quiet place. It is an absolute must for mountaineers.

Papaevangelou was far and away the favorite of our three weeks in Greece. Georgios, Marcella and their staff were so genuine and hospitable. The room was simple, bright and lovely, beds comfortable, and breakfast was outstanding—maybe the best coffees we had on our trip! The tranquil setting and view are so very special. The only downside was that we didn’t know ahead of time how extraordinary it would be, so we could have planned to stay longer. Returning to modern Greece after stepping back in time in Papigo was a sad experience. When we return to Greece again, this will certainly be a longer stop on our itinerary.

We had the fortune of staying at Hotel Papaevangelou on the 20th of May, 2023, for two days, and what an experience it was! From the very first moment, we were warmly welcomed, instantly making us feel at home. Our room was a dream - beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. However, the absolute highlight was the breathtaking view that greeted us each morning. The breakfast was not just delicious but prepared with so much love and care. An added bonus is the hotel's prime location, which provided us with the perfect starting point for a hike into the gorge. We can't wait to return. Definitely a place not to be missed!

The view from the room was great. Also The breakfast was a beautiful experience. The owners and the staff were very kind and hospitable. The rooms were very warm with very good aesthetics. From our room, the view was outstanding. There are a lot of activities to do nearby, such as rafting, hiking , trekking, sightseeing. If you love geology then this region of Greece is a must do.

We had the most wonderful time. Georges, the owner of the guest house is just the most amazing host. So warm and welcoming. Nothing is too much for him. The breakfast is wonderful and the staff are so nice and helpful. The surroundings are also stunning.

Totally marvelous. Fantastic place. A little peace of heaven. The views are breathtaking, the area is beyond beautifull. Owner and all people working there are the most loveliest you can image. We travelled with 2 adults and 3 kids and went hiking, swimming in ice cold rivers and waterfalls. Magical experience. Breakfast is outstanding as well. We would love to come back to this absolute gem of a place.
