Paris 10th arrondissement-Entrepot 2-star Hotels

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was very centrally located, just a stones throw away from the Metro. We enjoyed an amazing view too. The pictures don't do the hotel justice. My only gripe is that instead of supplying proper shower gel/bodywash they just give tidy 10ml packets. We were 2 people staying for 2 nights and this just simply wasn't enough. Housekeeping did not replenish them.

The hotel is not very convenient. It takes half a floor of stairs to take the elevator. There is less space in the elevator. If you carry more luggage, it will be more troublesome. There is a mouse in the room I live in, which is a bit scary. I don't think I will stay for the second time.

The hotel is simple but very cute. Our room was large enough, comfy bed, the bathroom was well equipped and the shower was good too. The breakfast was a good surprise- a variaty of itens such as fresh breads and croissants, cheese, yogurts, pain au chocolat, fresh juices, cereal... The staff is friendly and always ready to help. The hotel is very close to Gard Du Nord and to metro stations which makes turistic points more easy to access.

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! I had booked for 3 nights at the New Hotel but unfortunately missed my train and had to arrive the next day. On arrival I was taken around the corner to Hotel Richmond. I was given a room on the 6th floor and the room did look exactly the same as the room pics from New Hotel so it didn't worry me too much. The room was clean, well presented and with a huge updated bathroom. The room was on the 6th floor and was very quiet. Bed was comfortable and the water pressure of the shower was good. The shower head was a little low but as I am only 5'4 it was fine for me but anyone taller may not be able to get their head under. The room also had a split system air con/heater which was great. The guys on the front desk were very nice and helpful. The hotel is right across the road from Gare Du Nord so a perfect position to travel from as you have the Metro, buses , RER and International trains from the one place. Was very happy with my choice for a short stay in Paris.

There is TV to watch, the bed is quite big, but the quilt is not comfortable. When I left the hotel, I needed a turnkey and I felt a bit disliked. Every inch of Paris is expensive, and the price is still acceptable for one night. The hotel is well furnished and has convenient transportation.

Because in the vicinity of the city center, this price can not be too high. They are relatively old. Even the water is not hot on the first night. It is said that the water heater capacity is insufficient to ask the guests to take a bath when they are wrong. In the next few days, the temperature will rise and the heating will not turn on.
