Top rated hotels in Paris

Hotel Michelet Odeon

Very Parisian quirky hotel close to the Latin quarter , Luxembourg gardens a bit of a retro feel on the hallway walls but the rooms a quite plain. Our room was overlooking the back and side street which had 2 French doors to open for fresh air , however you need to close at night as can get noisy with sirens blasting. The lift is a tad small luck to fit 1 person and a bag which made us laugh but more convenient then carrying up the stairs. Only disappointing thing was that you only get 1 small bottle of water and a small supply of tea and coffee, which I believe should be refilled daily. They have a modern safe system which we had to download the app to access. Friendly staff, clean and great location.
Grand Hotel de l'Univers Saint-Germain

In addition to the smaller room, the overall price is high: walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc., the front desk and staff are very friendly and welcoming, the room is clean and heated
Hotel Delavigne

The room was clean and tidy. The waiter on the day of check-in said that there was no luggage storage. We thought we had to take the luggage when we left the hotel. Fortunately, we asked the staff that there was still luggage storage service! Would recommend to friends and family to book.
Odéon Hôtel by Malone

I stayed in the Odeon hotel twice. Due to the bane of dynamic pricing, I'm now giving reviews based on the highest price I paid for a given hotel. 300 euros in this case. The same room had cost me 120 euros a few months before. Is the Odeon worth 300 euros? Not for me. It's very sweet and well decorated, but the sheets smell of detergent (a big no-no in hospitality, where smells have to be neutral), and the rooms overlooking the street, without being super noisy, are not exactly quiet. Breakfast is above average. Due to hotels all using the same software these days, prices have become disconnected from actual value. As a result, 120 euros is too low. But it's being paid for by people who accept to pay 300 or even more for the same room. I'd say that up to 180 euros / night you will get what you should expect for your money. Any higher, and I suggest exploring other parts of France, where 300 euros will get you into really high-end hotels.
Hôtel Mayet
3.9/544 Reviews
This was our second stay at Hotel Mayet. Great location. Far enough away from touristy haunts, but there are plenty of nearby cafés and restaurants. Plenty of sites within walking distance, Bon Marche department store, charming shops and parks in the area. Two metro stations very close by. Fact that it fronts a quiet side street is a big plus in a busy city when the weather is fine. No outdoor cafe/bar/street noise to be heard. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Breakfast is plentiful. Rooms can be small but are cheerfully decorated. Hope to visit again soon.
Hotel Prince de Conti
4/5104 Reviews
My adult son and I stayed for several days. It was my first trip to France and I was eager to practice my French, something I never get to do at home in the US. The staff patiently indulged me as I attempted some conversational French. Despite my limited, emerging capacity for their native language, they were helpful and encouraging. After mistakenly saying (in French) that ”I am looking for it” when I could only have meant ”I have found it,” I am happy not to have been ridiculed, but to have been surrounded by supportive people. I found the French people--from servers in restaurants and people on the streets to staffers in museums and shops--to be accepting and kind. The hotel staff reflect the wonderful people of France. Thank you, Hotel Prince de Conti staff.
