SO/ Paris Hotel

Paris|0.84km from Gare De Paris-Austerlitz
I booked my wife to stay at this hotel recently and she loved it. I needed to be in Paris, and decided to try it myself. It is now the place I will always try to stay in Paris. The great thing about this hotel is that it is a perfect trade-off of price/location. In September, we stayed at the Faubourg Sofitel (also Accor) which is about as 'Prime Paris' as you can get. Right next door to the Elysee. For that, you got a hotel which was about 50% more expensive, for 40% less product. SO/ is central, but a bit on the edge, and for me that is worth every cent of the tradeoff. Additionally, the tradeoff places you right next to the river with views of Paris that are sensational. And anyway you are 5 mins on foot to the Places des Voges - this is still beautiful Paris. Other big pluses: - food quality is really high in Bonnie. We went for dinner and breakfast. Both great. Dinner buzzy, and possible the most beautiful breakfast room views imaginable. In summer.... wow. - rooms are extremely high quality fit out. Bed is incredibly comfortable. Just be aware that there is now bath or desk even if a room which could accomodate it - staff are charming and very well trained. - access by car is easy. Very few people will be driving (but I was). Access is super simple, and the valet parking v reasonable (about Eur40) - I didn't use the gym or pool, but they looked amazing by Paris hotel standards - I loved the design concept of the hotel. It is young and modern without being like a W (which I don't like... trying too hard) I strongly recommend. Thank you SO/ Paris.

Upon arrival in Paris, we spent seven nights at this charming and elegant boutique hotel. A genuinely pleasant hotel located in the Latin district of the left bank. As Paris hotels go, this would still be expensive and considered luxury. However, it has a lot going for. Beginning with the location: It is a short block away from the Seine River overlooking the Notre Dame Cathedral. It is about one block away from the Shakespeare and Company bookstore. We comfortably walked to all the major sites of Paris. However, taxis are plentiful, and the hotel can arrange as needed. As it is in the heart of Paris, the hotel is on a noticeably quiet, narrow street. The rooms were very nice with modern amenities. We have been to Paris a few times and I would judge the room we stayed in is larger. The bathroom and especially the shower were spacious. We had windows overlooking the front courtyard. Paris was a bit hot and humid while we were there. The air conditioner was just OK, but we found that opening the two windows (we were on the fifth floor) helped. Each night we found chocolates, wine, and other items that made for a pleasant experience, thanks to the PR manager Maria, who made our stay a bit more enjoyable and welcoming. Thank you, Maria! What really makes an exceptional hotel, however, are the staff. And… for that reason, we consider this hotel to be an exceptional hotel!! The staff were extremely helpful and sincerely friendly. We were made to feel right at home. We were always being checked upon to see if everything was to our satisfaction. We ate breakfast each day in the hotel cafeteria. They served an exclusive buffet of a variety of breads, cheeses, meats, yogurt, juices, and many more Parisian delicacies. They also offer eggs and coffee made to order. Service was extremely good. They took care of all our bookings and made arrangements for taxis to Paris Disneyland and other areas through their preferred vendors, so we always had great drivers. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for its location, extremely brilliant staff, and the physical facilities. Suggestion: If you are planning for taxis be sure to understand if the taxi is considered a private transfer or a normal metered taxi. Not a big deal, we took a taxi a short distance to the train station for 50 Euros. That is the going rate for a private transfer.

Crowne Plaza Paris République, an IHG Hotel

Paris|2.79km from Gare De Paris-Austerlitz
We stayed six nights at this fairly spartan property that was fitted with basic room attributes including a small refrigerator, a hair dryer and a tiny safe. We requested a coffee maker and received a hot pot with instant coffee. Getting an iron in the room proved a bit of an ordeal. The room was clean and the beds were quite good. Hotel staff was uniformly convivial, accommodating and helpful with exception of an encounter with the night manager (more on that later). Only one low voltage outlet in the bathroom was provided that could power an electric razor. My daughter brought a dual-voltage curling iron and hair straightener that could not be used in the bathroom due to lack of an electrical outlet. Staff ultimately provided an extension cord to be strung from the nightstand, and over the bed that my daughter was able to use to reach a wall mirror in the bedroom. We had the misfortune to be at the property during the annual Pride celebration at Place de la Republique directly in front of the hotel. My wife has mobility issues and we had to push through hundreds of drunken celebrants to get to the only entrance to the hotel. Scary stuff getting pushed along by a mob where my wife could have fallen and been trampled. I understand the Pride celebration is a public event but its a scheduled event that the hotel could have alerted clients to and made provisions to have opened a guarded entrance on the backside of the building away from the inebriated mob. With an early morning departure to the airport, I went to the desk the night before to check out so we could leave quickly the following morning. The front desk clerk advised that the hotel had my card on file and my e-mail address so they would send me the bill thereafter with nothing additionally to be done the next morning - just drop the key and run. As we were leaving early the next morning the night manager told me that I couldn't leave because I hadn't settled my bill. He inferred I was skipping out without paying the bill. I recounted the discussion I had the previous night and he repeated firmly that the bill needed to be closed out before we could leave. It was an uncomfortable encounter that was unnecessary. Somebody needs training here and its not the client. In summary, I'd say this property lacked many expected elements for the price point and as such could only describe it as providing moderate value. The lack of provisions to accommodate client access during the Pride celebration and the check-out snafu made it seem that they were somehow new to the game.

Hôtel Orphée

Paris|0.4km from Gare De Paris-Austerlitz
I ended up checking out early. It’s been 2 weeks and they seem to have no intention of refunding me. I checked into Hotel Orphee on a day when best friend was leaving Paris. Something about the place felt immediately weird from the beginning, but we put our bags away and tried to freshen up. After using the bathroom, we noticed that the lid to the toilet seat was broken because when I tried to close the lid before flushing, the entire lid came off. My friend and I had plans to explore the city, so we went downstairs to tell reception on the way out. We were waiting for a while when a man dressed in all black instead of the receptionist uniform said they would fix it. He seemed really annoyed that I even asked. My friend and I then explored for a few hours until it was time for her to leave for her flight. When we got back to Hotel Orphee, we had a chilling moment when the lobby was filled with 4-5 men, including the one from earlier, all dressed in black and still without a front desk person. The second we walked into the lobby, all of the men immediately stopped talking and proceeded to look at us like we were meat. I have never felt so objectified and scared by men in Paris. My friend then left for the airport and I knew I did not feel comfortable staying there alone. At that point, they had already charged my credit card for two nights, and I spent most of the first night purposely staying away from the hotel and looking for another option for my last night in Paris. In the morning I checked out and there was finally an actual receptionist at the front desk. She seemed to not have even been aware that there was a problem with the toilet in my room and said she was unable to refund me for the second night without approval from her boss first. I found that weird, but at this point I was so alarmed and uncomfortable that I wanted to get out of there as quickly as possible. It’s been two weeks since this incident and I still don’t have a refund processing for the night I didn’t spend at that hotel. I even emailed them once and someone said they would look into it, but that was days ago and said nothing when I replied to follow up. Honestly, this hotel looks beautiful in the photos, but in reality, it’s clear that it was hastily renovated and only cosmetic changes were made to what was probably an old hotel but the service was and continues to be alarmingly bad.

Hotel Sleeping Belle

It only takes about three to five minutes to walk from Paris Gare de Lyon to the hotel, which is very convenient. Did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are Starbucks coffee around the hotel, there are many restaurants, and there are also many restaurants in the train station that can solve breakfast. The rooms are small and exquisite, and very quiet. Considering such a convenient location, it can be said to be very cost-effective. From Lyon Station, it is very convenient whether to take the subway to the main attractions shopping streets or to go to the suburbs of Versailles and Fontainebleau. recommend!

When I returned to Paris and lived next to the Lyon train station in Paris, I could n’t help feeling that Paris was more than just land and gold, and hotel details were well done. For example, the double-layer sound insulation glass is really impossible for the capitals of too many countries. Things, such as Beijing and Athens I just went to At the front desk, you can see the platform of the train that is about to leave and whether it is on time. The supermarket is very close downstairs. It is very close to the subway or the bus to the airport. The only downside is that you can't store your luggage for more than 12 hours unless you book the next hotel right away. Newly renovated, new equipment, small space is well utilized. All in all it's pretty good.
Hotel Locomo

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel Locomo last week. The service was impeccable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful and not to mention, the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is located in a central location near Gare de Lyon station, which is one of the busiest station in Paris. Close to many attraction and restaurants. The conference room was specious and well-equipped and suitable for any business affairs. They also have a good size Hammam in the hotel. The Hotel Locomo is a great choice for anyone travelling in business and wants to stay in the central of Paris. I'll definitely return here and recommend it to all my friends. Thanks to Julien and Sheila for your service.

We stayed here 3 nights. Hotel very nice, room spacious and clean. I have to say it’s my second time in Paris and what a better experience check-in staff so friendly. We decided to do the breakfast buffet and met Erwan who was so nice and friendly. His kindness brought us back every morning til we left. Erwan was so accommodating and friendly. Then later that night we bought wine to have in our room and Denis at the bar opened our bottle gave us 2 fancy wine glasses to enjoy our wine. I would definitely stay here again because of the friendliness of the staff. Thank you for a great experience!

Bardzo duży plus za pomoc obsługi przy wejściu do apartamentu. W razie problemów - pomoc nieoceniona. Bliskość do metra - faktycznie ze 100 metrów. Blisko Sekwana - 2 minutki drogi, obok park- 1 minuta.
