An outstanding property and excellent hosts. The investment in the property really shines through. The surrounding area is gorgeous, with many beautiful lakes and welcoming small towns. The hosts were nice enough to take me as an early arrival, and were able to store by bicycle safely. Great staff too. Very friendly.

Upon entering the Waterford Inn, you immediately feel the heart and soul of the end keepers/owners of the amazing B&B. In every detail, there is a part of them. From the ancient typewriter on the dresser to the bluebells and wild Queen Anne’s lace in the bases, even to the do not disturb makeshift hand, scribed sign please don’t tidy the soul of this place is present. From the house to the barn, what a surprise. The barn is our place to just relax and have a farm to table breakfast or on the weekends a dinner. They have transformed the barn into a wonderful place to party, a bar, of course, is present, a group get together, or a place for your friends and family together. Sit outside around the fire pit on a cool evening, walk the trails on the 13 acre wooded property or just browse the grounds of vegetables, flowers, and chickens and soon to be additional animals to join this incredible place. The food is just scrumptious with homemade sourdough bread and crackers, along with the wonderful homemade yogurt and granola. Everything is either grown on the property or from a neighboring property, definitely farm to table . Don’t miss this wonderful and serene place while visiting Maine. Only 15 to 20 minutes to activities, restaurants, museums, etc.

After visiting this lovely inn nearly every year for 30ish years, the owners have retired and new owners, Kember & Greta, took over a couple of years ago. The calm, quiet atmosphere remains, but these sisters are full of enthusiasm to make this inn a fully farm to table destination and they're well on their way, with expanding gardens, chickens, plans for more dinners in the huge, gorgeous barn, and tons of ideas. Attention to beds, bedding, bathroom facilities and healthy breakfast fare are very important to them. No doubt this inne/home will continue to be loved as much as we know it has always been.

We stayed at the dreamy Waterford Inne a few weeks ago and we're still basking in the glow of that warm, cozy, and delicious escape from reality. Kember, Greta and Elli (and doggy host with the most, Milo!) were incredible hosts who generously shared the very special property that they've beautifully renovated and decorated. Barn dinners were done for the season, but the B&B food we were treated to was destination worthy in itself - from the warm sourdough chocolate chip cookies, to the perfectly curated cheeseboard, to the absolutely mind blowing breakfasts made with eggs from their chickens and veggies from their garden, we can't wait to go back for more!!! On top of it all, we so enjoyed the company of all our hosts and the other guests. It was a really lovely space of connection and conversation that feels rare in today's world. (Also super convenient to countless hikes and lots of good food. Highly recommend dinner at Oxbow in Oxford!)

Having our original Saturday plans cancelled due to rain, we shifted gears and decided to stay and explore the region. It was a great decision as our stay at the Waterford Inne was wonderful. The Vanderblue family has put together a gem of the accommodation world in the region. The Inne was beautiful and very relaxing. Breakfast was delicious and the selections changed daily. The Barn felt like a neighborhood gathering spot with fresh soups and bread to go with your cocktails or wine. Highly recommend this B&B and we will be returning.

The Waterford Inne is a truly special place. I recently took my mother there as a belated Christmas present and we both had an amazing time. While the barn, inn and surrounding grounds are all beautiful and great places to enjoy exceptional food and drink, the welcoming spirit and attentive service of Kember, Greta and Elli is what makes this place extra special. After a great cocktail by the outdoor fire pit on a perfect fall day, we enjoyed a fantastic lobster boil accompanied by live music in the magical setting of the barn. The rooms were beautiful and my mother and I both slept very well in the extremely comfortable beds. We ended our visit with homemade breakfast and enjoyable conversation over coffee with other guests and Kember. This is a gem of a place - go visit!

This inn has undergone extensive renovations and has brought a historic inn back to its glory. Additionally, the new owners have added a farm to table experience so that means fresh eggs and veggies for breakfast. But, wait, there's more. The creativity from this inn keeper's team is boundless so you can expect amazing cuisine from their kitchen. And don't miss the craft cocktails they serve in their barn at a bar that is beautiful. Maybe you'll get lucky and hear local musicians entertain you.

The staff at the Waterford Inne couldn't be nicer and more accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and our room, "The Poet" with it's own porch--a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and relax with a book. Enjoyed reading about the history of the house and its restoration. Locally sourced breakfasts were delicious. Lovely place, lovely stay. Hope to return.

I loved everything about this charming, family run inn. The Waterford Inne is infused with warmth, thoughtfulness, beauty, and attention to detail. There are so many unique touches from the homemade cocktails, fresh flowers in vases in the barn, homemade cookies in the room, to a friendly welcome by the owners upon arrival. The rooms are lovely, clean, and comfortable, however the best part of the Waterford Inne is the positive energy and sense of community that you feel while chatting with owners and guests in their gorgeous barn, or at the communal breakfast table over a delicious breakfast the next morning. Their property is beautiful, and it's evident at every turn that a lot of care and passion went into the creation of the Waterford Inne. You can purchase eggs from their free range hens or locally made products before you go. I stayed at several local hotels and inns while dropping my sons off at their Summer camps and picking them up again- there were some lovely places, but really no comparison- this is the one I look forward to returning to.
