Unfortunately, we were unable to stay in the room due to evidence of bedbugs on the mattress (eggs, small blood stains etc.). We called them immediately to inform them of this, and were told that the apartments had indeed had an infestation recently, but in a different room. Anyone who has experience with bedbugs knows how quickly they spread, especially in a place with so many old, dirty carpets, rugs and mats on every floor and every corridor. We sent pictures to them, as requested. By the photos alone the hotel decided that we were lying. We were not even offered an alternative room. We had to find a new hotel at 5pm on a Sunday, great start to the trip! Furthermore, the hotel have refused to refund our money, despite us having clear evidence that bedbugs are present there.
