Paris 8th arrondissement-Elysee Hotels

I had a double room. It was very clean and calm, with a large bathroom. The rooms' decoration is certainly dated and basic but it is functional. The person at the reception the day I left was extremely helpful. The hotel is very conveniently located: about 100m from Gare Saint Lazare (and the metro) and very close to shops and large department stores in a very lively neighbourhood. I would happily stay there again. Great value for money.

This is our favourite hotel in Paris. The area is a real Parisian neighbourhood- not too many tourists, close to 3 metro stations but very walkable to all parts of Paris. The hotel is charming - with quality touches all through the hotel. It is staffed 24 hours, the owners are professional and kind and do their utmost to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We stayed in June - walked the French Camino - and returned in July. Catherine, the owner held a bag for me for over a month which was terrific. The rooms are compact but really nicely decorated with everything you need for a pleasant stay. Beds are comfortable, there is a safe, wardrobe, flat screen TV with many channels including the BBC for English speakers, chairs, great wifi and well appointed bathrooms. Some rooms have balconies. The hotel has a small lift unlike many in Paris. Breakfast is also available. There are some lovely restaurants and bars in the close by Rue de Levi’s and Rue de Dames. Highly recommend.

Perfect location being in the centre of Paris and is a couple stops away from the Louvre museum on the metro. It is also allows quick and convinient travel to other main central tourist spots. The hotel is situated on a key road where many embassies closely reside (British, Japanese, American, Canadian etc.), hence there is heavy government security staff and is a very safe location to stay in, in addition to the mainy designer retail stores and boutiques also situated on the same road and surrounding areas. The hotel itself looks modern, chique and promising upon entering into the reception, however the front desk staff were two men who did not seem entirely friendly and welcoming and failed to greet us properly upon arrival. There should have been better hotel staff etiquette. The room was ckean, basic and minimal in decor but unfortunately quite small, particularly the bathroom. For a 4* hotel, I would've expected a better modern decor, toiletries and complimentary items, for example handwash liquid bottles, cotton buds and shower caps as well as more bottles of water (there was only 1 provided upon arrival when there were 2 of us). There was no wow factor and seemed pretty basic.. there have been 3* hotel rooms I have stayed in which have been more impressive in size, decor and supplementaries. The TV channels are all in French which doesn't consider other main languages of international tourists so we had little indoor entertainment. There were also initial issues with the shower head in the bathroom too which was thankfully fixed by a staff member quickly after we brought it to their staff's attention. Street views of boutiques and official government buildings were quite nice. The worst part was that there was no sound proofing in the room. First night was the worst sleep I've had in a hotel and I could literally hear everything from the surrounding rooms (creeking, flushing, piping etc) as well as outdoor drunken shouting, even with the windows closed. The hotel appears to have selectively refurbished rooms, which I also read from other reviews seem to have better sound proofing anf modern decor. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there is any intention to update all the rooms to match the same 4* quality standard, which how management appear to be controlling the room prices. Hence, my best recommendation is to pay more for a refurbished room/prestige room to get a better stay experience (not the superior rooms because there is nothing superior about them).

I stayed 5 nights, without breakfast. The room was spotless every day. The bed was so comfy! Every member of staff was kind and helpful. I had requested an iron before I arrived and it was waiting in the room for me, despite not being part of the room’s equipment. It’s in a perfect position for many metro stops, buses and also lots can be reached on foot. I will definitely be going back there.

I am extremely satisfied with my stay at the hotel during my 4 day visit to Paris. the friendly service, the cleanliness, the delicious food, the pleasant atmosphere (nice music, calmness and politeness from Sasha, Patrick, Isabelle and the women who take care of the cleanliness and the delicious breakfast). very convenient location, as well as proximity to a metro station. The location was great for ease getting around Paris. We had a room for 4 people, 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds. The room was a good size but there wasn't much space to move around the beds. The beds were comfortable, only a down comforter was available so I got very hot when covered up. The air conditioning wasn't working so we opened the windows. Our room faced the interior courtyard/not the street but we still got cigarette smoke in our room as people who had balcony rooms sat on the balcony to smoke. The lobby is on the second level and the elevator is very, very tiny. People smoke right outside the door to the hotel so the cigarette smell inside the entrance was horrible, I wore my mask to keep from breathing it. The breakfast was included in our rate and it was just ok. It wasn't anything exciting but it was better than nothing. The location makes this hotel worth a stay.

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) loved our stay here! We had adjacent rooms tucked together in a corner hallway. The rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed. It was so nice to have two bathrooms between us. The lighting was great in bathroom and bedroom. The staff was phenomenal. So friendly, helpful and accommodating. Our flight to Paris was delayed 6 hours and we didn’t arrive until midnight, and when we emailed the hotel they said no problem. Ariel and Clair at breakfast were amazing. They greeted us with big smiles and helpful hints about our visit. It was my birthday and they brought a muffin out with a candle and sang happy birthday to me! My husband and kids told Claudia at the front desk it was my birthday and she surprised me with balloons and a delicious chocolate torte complete with candles! It was so sweet! The location was very convenient. Easy walk to many sights and lots of nearby shops and cafes There are renovations at the hotel but they didn’t disrupt our stay and Claudia says they will be completed this summer. I’m sure the hotel will be even more amazing!

This gem is located on Avenue Wagram a 5 minute walk from the Champs Elysees and a 2 minute walk from the metro. It's surrounded by restaurants ranging from delicious Moroccan and French cuisine to fast food joints such as McDonald's and Burger King. The hotel itself is perfect. Both Reda and Snoussi at the reception were nice, courteous and extremely helpful. Our quadruple room was very big for Paris. The breakfast was nice and plentiful. The variety was limited but that's expected in European hotels. The croissants were absolutely delicious. The price is not cheap for a 3 star hotel but it was worth every penny.

I stayed at the Best Western Premier Kapital Opera in January 2023. The hotel was modern and the rooms nicely appointed and not too small as some Paris hotel rooms are. We had a large bathroom with a shower and toiletries such as soap and hand lotion were provided. Having a Nespresso coffee/tea maker in the room and in the lobby was so convenient and made mornings easier. The hotel location was wonderful and the Rome metro was about 2 blocks from the hotel. There were also three or four boulangeries offering the best in Paris pastry within three blocks or so of the hotel. A pharmacy and two supermarkets were also on the same block. The staff spoke English and were patient with me when I spoke my ”broken” French. They were kind and helpful throughout and even helped me try to locate my lost luggage. This will be my ”go to” hotel when I have the opportunity to travel to Paris.

I would like to mention the Staff! Mathieu Boutrus went over and beyond to help us out. No task to big or small. Also the rest of the staff that we came into contact with included Camille, Sarah and Camille. There was also the night time Staff which I did not get their names. All of which did an outstanding job. Several things that are important to us is the comfort of the mattress( slept like a baby) the water pressure in the shower 🚿 Great ! Pillows and duvet were so comfortable as well. Their breakfast was delicious too !
