Hotels near Opera district in Paris

We arrived very early in Paris, on July 3, with my husband and my daughters (16 and 17 years old) it was 7 in the morning, on a Monday, and they allowed us to leave our bags, use the bathroom, to be able to go for a walk. comfortable around the city until our check-in time. They even told us that they would do their best to give us our room earlier than planned. We stayed in a family room, immaculate. With a two-stage bathroom, wardrobe / closet, desk, a very large TV, air conditioning (essential in summer), minibar, coffee maker (Nespresso). The reception staff are very friendly but above all efficient. At the reception there are snacks and drinks free of charge for the guest, they treated us very well and were very respectful. We checked out and were able to leave our bags to enjoy our last day in the city lightly, they hired us a taxi that would take us to the airport and we were able to wait for the car at the reception. I would go back with my family without hesitation. Many thanks to all the staff at Hotel Mogador.

Housekeeper took away my personal item intentionally. I placed a eggshell-white coloured plastic cup on the basin of the bathroom. It is obviously different from the cups provided by the hotel Then I put my toothbrush, toothpaste and floss into the cup. On the final night of my stay, when I returned to the room at night, I was shocked to find that my cup was missing. The three items originally in the cup were neatly placed next to the tap, exactly where the cup should have been. (See the attached sink image). I believe that my cup was not mistakenly thrown away because the items in the cup have to be intentionally removed from the cup . The cup was taken away intentionally and dishonestly. I reported the issue to the receptionist on the same night and in the next morning. They said that they checked with the housekeepers and did not find the cup. After the stay, I sent an email to the hotel to express my disappointment and demanded an apology. The hotel never replied to my email. I have never encountered such unpleasant and disappointing experience during hotel stays. The integrity of housekeepers has seriously damaged the safety of the hotel. If you will stay there, do not request cleaning or else you could expect to lose anything in the room.

My friend booked this hotel for our business trip in Paris for 6 nights. The price was reasonable due to location wise although the room is very small. The customer service is what i would like to mention here.. Ibrahim was a night shift receptionist who was quite unprofessional and rude the way he dealt with complaints. The third night of our stay, we came back to the hotel around 9 pm and collected the keycard with him. During that moment we informed him that the wifi in our room was not working on our phones. What he responded was “that is your problem not my problem”. My friends even showed him that it really didn’t work. He once again said “it’s your phone problem, not the hotel”. After getting back to our room with disappointing service, I found out that the warm water in the bathroom didn’t work. So my friend went down to ask him for help again since I was already undressed. She came up with a shocking respons from Ibrahim again. She said “excuse me, the warm water in our room is not working.” He said “yes yes it’s not working” and pointed to the announcement on the lobby counter, telling her to read “FRENCH” announcement about the disruption of warm water without moving himself from his chair or look at my friend’s face instead being on his phone. So we needed to take a cold shower at night in autumn. Waking up in the morning knowing that the warm water wasn’t working was already annoying, there was a cockroach walking in our bathroom. That made our morning even more disgusting. I, in the next morning, delivered my complaint to a morning shift named “Penelope” who was very very helpful. She listened to me and tried to explain that the water disruption was from the road construction not from the hotel. I told her that was understandable but the way Ibrahim dealt with our complaints was not the right way and the fact that the hotel is located in central area of Paris, you should put the announcement in “ENGLISH” and “FRENCH” and beyond that he should inform us when we collected the keycard that the warm water was not working until 10.00 am next day” Penelope was also surprised what I told her how inappropriate her colleague was. Penelope also helped me directly with the wifi connection by calling the technical team and asked them to remotely fix my problem with my phone (which is also strange) but she was doing her job. Doing business in hospitality industry, SERVICE is the core. Strangely enough, I read so many negative reviews of this hotel, but seeing no responses from management team at all. So I don’t really know what do they care for and what do they want to provide. If any of you is reading this review and looking for a place to stay in Paris, try other hotels. There are way more hotels where they are the same price range but definitely better customer service. I personally was working in hotel for a long time, this is not the proper customer service you should get when you pay almost 300€ per night. My 2 star

The location is nice and close to the metro station, the staff are friendly and great services. The best part is that I made friends who had similar interests and wanted to explore Paris like I did. Would highly recommend for solo travelers the area is safe and convenient to anywhere you want to see within Paris🩷

First things first, there effectively is no Lennon Hotel. There is no reception there and no breakfast room. Everything from the administration on is done through the Avalon Hotel next door so, make the assumption that you are going to the Avalon and you will not get lost or confused. The decor is both dated and modern at the same time. I would say, typically French so I am glad they didn't go all chain hotel and boring. The Bedroom - The choice of furniture I would question. In some pictures you can see what looks like a coat rack. This is the 'wardrobe' in the room. There are 6 hooks which may or may not have 6 hangers. Beneath that could well be a full size laptop safe (free to use) and under that, what I would have used as the shoe shelf. There really isn't anywhere for smaller items at all, they likely will stay in your luggage. With the lighting it's either bright or very bright so, there wasn't really an option to have it dimly lit though there are a selection of ceiling light, wall lamps and table lamps, they are all bright. Our room (100) was not a king size bed, I feel 4' 6” as it was certainly smaller than we are used to. In many pictures it shows the white bed pillows supplemented by small blue (green) ones. This is certainly not the case with every room. The Bathroom - I can but speak for our room as I understand other rooms have different configurations. We had a walk in shower with a rain shower head and a hand held spray adjusted using ornate handles. The toilet was on the wall. I personally don't like those, I feel incredibly unsafe especially when they creak like this one did when sat on. To make it worse, we're only 5' 3” and it's just too high, we felt like 5 year olds in need of a step stall. I wondered if this might not be aimed at wheelchair users as I am disabled but I do not use a chair but a mobility scooter (which there was plenty of room for). Then I consider the sink which is high up, too high for a wheelchair user. Of course, there is no chair in the shower either so, if it is meant to be an accessible room, it kind of isn't. The walls are done in tiles. Very mismatched tiles, not sure whether that was intentional or just years of different repairs and replacements. I feel that the light blue small square tiles were original but that when the shower, toilet and sink were last done they were not replicable so got replaced with blue rectangle tiles. The floor tiles are probably original but very worn and though they may have been, I never felt they were clean. Being a walk in shower the water got everywhere and the floor remained wet all night so we kept a towel on the floor by the door. Us British might find it weird to see a hairdryer in the bathroom right next to the sink, I think a plug socket too! The large round mirror was supposed to light up with a touch switch but, we never got it to work. Decided to book a last minute trip to Paris & my partner had booked this hotel as part of a package. Upon searching the hotel, I was very skeptical how this hotel would be and had very low standards of arriving due to all the reviews I’d read. The room & hotel were clean and tidy, staff are lovely and nothing was a hassle for them, breakfast was brought out quickly and re-filled if finished! Only downfall being how tiny the bathroom is, quite a struggle getting round about everything in the bathroom as it’s all packed in so tightly & the mattress was a bit uncomfortable, but that bit wasn’t too much of a bother to me as the pillows made up for it! Two stars knocked off primarily for the size of bathroom and mattress but can’t grumble too much due to the price paid! Still very happy and satisfied with our stay.

Environment: The room is very spacious and the location is five minutes walk from Galeries Lafayette. Service: The little brother at the front desk is too handsome, very French and very caring and old and we wink. The security at the door is also very good. Recently, the French riots will remind us not to run around at night and tell us which areas can't go. Facilities: The hotel's restaurant food is also delicious!

Perfect location being in the centre of Paris and is a couple stops away from the Louvre museum on the metro. It is also allows quick and convinient travel to other main central tourist spots. The hotel is situated on a key road where many embassies closely reside (British, Japanese, American, Canadian etc.), hence there is heavy government security staff and is a very safe location to stay in, in addition to the mainy designer retail stores and boutiques also situated on the same road and surrounding areas. The hotel itself looks modern, chique and promising upon entering into the reception, however the front desk staff were two men who did not seem entirely friendly and welcoming and failed to greet us properly upon arrival. There should have been better hotel staff etiquette. The room was ckean, basic and minimal in decor but unfortunately quite small, particularly the bathroom. For a 4* hotel, I would've expected a better modern decor, toiletries and complimentary items, for example handwash liquid bottles, cotton buds and shower caps as well as more bottles of water (there was only 1 provided upon arrival when there were 2 of us). There was no wow factor and seemed pretty basic.. there have been 3* hotel rooms I have stayed in which have been more impressive in size, decor and supplementaries. The TV channels are all in French which doesn't consider other main languages of international tourists so we had little indoor entertainment. There were also initial issues with the shower head in the bathroom too which was thankfully fixed by a staff member quickly after we brought it to their staff's attention. Street views of boutiques and official government buildings were quite nice. The worst part was that there was no sound proofing in the room. First night was the worst sleep I've had in a hotel and I could literally hear everything from the surrounding rooms (creeking, flushing, piping etc) as well as outdoor drunken shouting, even with the windows closed. The hotel appears to have selectively refurbished rooms, which I also read from other reviews seem to have better sound proofing anf modern decor. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like there is any intention to update all the rooms to match the same 4* quality standard, which how management appear to be controlling the room prices. Hence, my best recommendation is to pay more for a refurbished room/prestige room to get a better stay experience (not the superior rooms because there is nothing superior about them).

Excellent location, quiet, clean with friendly staff. They gave us a triple that was in fact a double-adapted, which limited movements within the room, and above all there was no support even for a single trolley. The last night of a hotel problem they changed rooms giving us a true triple. The only sin, though informed when they arrive at the hotel, they don't deposit baggage.

Excellent location: walking distance to major Paris department stores such as Printemps and Lafayette! Adagio at Opera is more than a hotel; it’s like your tiny home in the very centre of Paris with a kitchen including full necessary kitchenware, a microwave, a huge fridge and a table where you can cook and enjoy your own meal when fed up of eating outside in the restaurants! Free hot tea is always waiting for you in its comfortable lounge, while 24h front desk service makes you feel safer and more at home!
