The St. Regis Deer Valley

Park City|1.96km from city centre
My husband and I stayed at the St. Regis with our kids (5 & 8 year old boys) in November and I have nothing but amazing things to say about our stay. From the moment we were greeted to the day we left, we were treated with respect and a genuine desire to make our vacation a nice experience and that they did! Brittany at the front desk was phenomenal. We are Marriott Bonvoy Platinum members and although we have stayed MANY MANY nights at Marriott properties, we have never been upgraded to a suite because that upgrade is based on availability and for some reason, it is never available EXCEPT this time, thanks to Brittany! We were upgraded to the most beautiful, spacious Suite, overlooking the mountains, that you can imagine. Thank you, Brittany! We will never forget the room and the memories we made there as a family and thank you for the beanie babies. The boys still sleep with them. The Butlers also made our experience memorable by showing us how to saber a bottle of champagne in the privacy of our patio! The food, service, bed, pillows, drivers, everyone and everything about this trip was spectacular. Also, one of the ski instructors (Matt?) took us to downtown Park City on one occasion and he have us so much information about the town and it's history that we wouldn't have known otherwise....thank you! Thank you for being so friendly, especially to our boys. If you are thinking of going to Deer Valley/Park City area, don't hesitate to book at the St. Regis. It is top notch. You will not regret it. We will be back! -Danay Pavon

Hilton Grand Vacations Club Sunrise Lodge Park City

Hilton Grand Vacations Club Sunrise Lodge Park City

Park City|6.32km from city centre
Located in the Canyon Village area this HGVC property is close to many amenities located in the area. It’s a close walk to the Gondola and many shops and restaurants. The property is well taken care of and there’s always help available at your service. The free shuttle is prompt and reliable, taking you to Main Street or Kimball Junction. The pool is nice and towels are provided. The concierge was helpful with suggestions for viewing local attractions. Maintenance was hit and miss. Our room was missing a tv remote, which was promptly provided, but the ice machine and refrigerator quit working properly, and when I reported to the front desk, nothing was done. That meant three days of getting ice from the first floor and moving refrigerator food items to the freezer in order to stay cool. Another thing is make sure you request a room with air conditioning. I had requested, but upon checking in, they tried to pass off a room with no air. The temperatures were high 80’s. I visited with other guests that were disappointed in getting rooms with no air. So if you’re visiting in warm weather, I’d check ahead of time on the air conditioning situation. A plus was the parking. We never had a problem finding a spot on the underground parking. There’s also the option of valet. Overall this is a good option of a property to stay. We are owners at another HGVC and wanted to try a new property. We’d come back here.

Marriott's MountainSide

Marriott's MountainSide

Park City|0.9km from city centre
My family recently stayed in the 2bdr villa for a week for Spring Break. The rooms were clean & exactly as described on the hotel's website. The full kitchen was a plus & we cooked breakfast every day during our stay as well as some lunches & dinners. There is also a washer & dryer which was a tremendous bonus for a family of 7. This was our first visit to Park City and we had ski lessons at Park City Mountain. I didn't realize how close it was when I booked our stay, but staying here was perfect because we were able to pick up our ski equipment from the ski valet and literally walk out the back door and were right at the entrance to skiing. Although it is April, the weather was great for us first timers and it even snowed on the day of our lessons making the experience perfect. My kids loved the pool tables & smoothies from the Cafe. The staff all around the resort was super nice. You can also tell they put a lot of effort into keeping everything clean, the hallways and public areas smelled clean and were never dirty. The entire stay the hallways smelled like the carpets had been recently cleaned/deodorized. The parking garage was heated which we really appreciated. The kids really enjoyed the heated pool as well, and it was cool to be able to swim and watch people on the slopes at the same time. We got in the car and did a lot of sightseeing, but they also have quite a few daily activities you can participate in on site. The location is also a very short drive to the other side of Park City Mountain called Canyon Village. We were able to ride the gondola up the mountain over there and grab lunch which was fun. We drove around Park City which was beautiful. Park City is only about 40 minutes from SLC and we drove around downtown SLC, met up with some friends that live in the area, and drove to the Great Salt Lake. Overall, staying at Marriott's MountainSide was perfect for my family, the rooms are modern, clean, and well maintained. Again, I'm big on the rooms looking as advertised when I arrive, and Marriott's MountainSide met & exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend it for your stay in Park City.

Sweetwater Lift Lodge
3.8/598 Reviews
We had a 1-bedroom. The bedroom and living area was spacious, but the kitchen was teeny. Only one person could be in it at a time and the trash had to sit in the entryway if we wanted to open the refrigerator, oven, dishwasher or lower cabinets. Not everything on the inventory was in the kitchen and I had to request items twice. The carpets were filthy and uneven and in need of cleaning or better yet, replaced. Our view was a retaining wall. Several nights of the week we heard children or teens stampeding through the hallways with management ignoring the noise. The only reason I give this a 2 and not a 1 is because everyone on staff was friendly and responded quickly to requests most of the time. The walk to Main Street was 1/2 mile, but up a steep hill. At least a free bus system ran with a stop a block and a half away. The equipment in the workout room needed serviced and was difficult to adjust. The treadmill would randomly speed up making it unsafe to use. Upon checkout I pointed out the filthy carpets and the staff’s response was they had plans to renovate, which tells me, they knew it wasn’t cleaned sufficiently, yet ignored it.
Westgate Park City Resort & Spa

We are timeshare owners at that resort and visit every year. This year everything went smoothly with no hick ups. Our suite was spacious and in good condition. Service is only provided once a week but one can ask for anything missing and also for trash pick up. Was no problem for us and every request, like additional coffee, was promptly filled. I don't want to comment on the somewhat confusing layout of the resort, but over the years we have learned to navigate it very well. There are always stairs one can take to avoid waiting for an elevator. Skier service is good every year and our skis arrived promptly at the Gondola after sending a message to the desk. This time we had a car and parking was fairly easy. The first day we used the Valet parking but then decided to use the Guest Parking and that was fine. We did not use the resort shuttle at all this time. We definitely are looking forward to our return next year. The resort has a plan to remodel the suites because most of them are somewhat dated; so that will be exciting to see. If you have any specific questions, please don't hesitate to send me a message. I will try to answer it.
Park City Peaks

It was located right in between to two busy places of park city. I loved that they offered cookies and hot chocolate during the afternoon. They had an extensive complimentary breakfast with lots of seating in the restaurant. The weekend we were there the ice rink was closed which was a bummer but not a big deal. I liked that they had a indoor/outdoor pool and two hot tubs, one outdoor and one indoor. The pool was definitely too cold to swim in for winter. They also had a steam room and sauna. The room was a decent size and roomy for my husband and I. I wish the fridge would actually get cold enough to keep food cold but we were only there one night. The bed was very comfortable. The walls are a little bit thin, we could hear our neighbors around 3 am drunk talking loudly. They did have a noise curfew but it was being ignored.

Covid will date this review. But if you simply want to take the family skiing, especially first time testing out PC, then this may be the most ideal choice. Upgrade to the rooms with a kitchen. Market is 10 minute walk. Ski rental on premises is not simply the least expensive but great people! Test your gear the afternoon before skiing. Pick up in the morning and walk out the side door, across the parking lot and you are on the beginner hill. Order in to minimize social contact but everyone in PC wears a mask everywhere (except the bars on Main). 20 min walk to old town for a great collection of restaurants ( make reservations!). Some rooms are in the process of renovation. Little ones enjoyed the pull out sofa. Check in/out process should be the model for every hotel which is a simple app for instructions and pick up envelope in lobby. Pool is super tiny. We avoided amenities due to Covid.
