Lunar Cabins

"Bedding configuration in the older style cabin was not what was requested. The floors were gritty and the walls had dust on them.There was mould on the ceiling near the bathroom from a previous leak. Air conditioning in the main bedroom was not used as the caretaker told us it was leaking and they couldn’t get it fixed during the holidays. Smoke alarms were not working as the batteries left near the television were flat/dead. Even the remotes for lights/ceiling fans didn’t work as the batteries needed replacing. These issues should have been fixed before we arrived. Price was exhorbatent during the Elvis Festival. It was $420.00 for 1 person per night (not 2 people as is normal) and $20-00 each extra adult per night for the older cabin. We weren’t given the price till October 2023, which by the was too late to find alternative accommodation. Compare the price to what they charge now. This was my 4th time at the Elvis Festival, but after this experience I definitely won’t be returning. The only good point was the location, although it was hard to find at night because the sign was not lit up. The pool and barbecue area were very good.Overall the place was rundown"

Old Parkes Convent

"We stayed in this quaint old building in a large suite fitted out with an eclectic mixture of furnishings. The suite was comfortable and clean, the bed was excellent and the host welcoming. The kitchen, while dated, had everything needed and the breakfast was very adequate. "
