KnanjueBeijing was too hot, so the kids kicked us out to do their homework over the weekend. We came to Chongli for a hike, and it's so cool here. I picked this hotel, which is relatively new in Chongli, having opened in 2020. I hadn't been to Cuiyun Mountain before, and it's quite nice. The breakfast is great, packed with Chongli elements – savory and fragrant enough to instantly take me back to my childhood. I was given a lake view room, which offers a perfect view of the entire area in front of the hotel.
In the morning, I went for a roughly 3km run. There's a boardwalk behind the hotel that you can hike up directly to the Xingmang Library. It has four pavilions and shaded paths, so it's not sunny. It's about 1.5km with an elevation gain of 264 meters.
Service-wise, it was pretty good, but the hotel staff were *too* diligent. They called to rush us even before check-in, and then kept calling relentlessly before 12 PM for check-out. That part was really annoying.

Guanggedexingnang# Chongli Thaiwoo | Nanshanli Hotel Autumn Scenery and Kid-Friendly Experience 🍁
🏨 This time, we stayed with our child in Block D of Nanshanli Hotel. The 2.4-meter king-size bed was spacious enough. It also came with a sofa, coffee table, and a balcony. The washing machine with a drying function was very practical!
🍴 The hotel has several restaurants, offering a variety of choices from noodle soup, dumplings, stir-fries, to a buffet. The seafood buffet on Friday and Saturday, priced at 298 RMB for a buy-one-get-one-free deal, is worth trying. 🍔 If you don't want to include hotel breakfast or prefer to sleep in, McDonald's on the first floor opens at 9 AM. Also, after 9 PM, the tea restaurant on the first floor offers a special instant noodle supper!
🚠 Just outside the hotel's back door is Cable Car No. 9. Taking it will lead you up the mountain to see the autumn scenery of the ancient Great Wall. 🥾 You can also choose to hike up the mountain via the trail, which is friendly and easy even for beginners, allowing you to leisurely immerse yourself in the autumn colors of the forest. For the descent, you can opt for the unpowered slide car for 150 RMB per person, which is fun!
🚌 The hotel offers a free shuttle bus directly to the town center, though it's only about a ten-minute walk. You can take Cable Car No. 4 up to Thaiwoo Peak to overlook the entire autumn mountain. The town also has a grand circus to watch. ✨ When night falls, there's also a traditional iron-flower performance.
💡 Oh, and the hotel's Deer Island Park ticket is valid for two days after purchase. ”Hi Sen Qi Bing” is available all day, and both support multiple entries, which is super for kids!

Guest UserCompared to the bustling Thaiwoo Ski Resort, I much preferred the tranquility of Genting Secret Garden Hotel. The design aesthetic was dark and minimalist, with a subtle Jurlique fragrance lingering in the air. Opening the curtains, I could gaze out at the distant Yushiliang Peak.
I was so glad I arrived a few days before the Spartan race, allowing me to quietly soak in the beauty of the place. It was only a 500-meter walk to the main race venue, and after finishing, it was a quick 5-minute stroll back to the hotel for a hot shower! I'd definitely come back here for skiing in winter. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in summer, which my husband complained about for all four nights. I'd suggest the hotel install AC units in the rooms for the summer months!
Minor incident: After checking out, we had already driven to Zhangbei Grassland when my husband realized he'd left his headphones at the hotel. We called the hotel, hoping for the best. The lovely lady from the reservations department contacted housekeeping to search for the lost headphones and immediately arranged for them to be sent via SF Express. Five-star service, truly!!!

Guest UserThis time, I stayed at this apartment for my trip to Chongli, and the overall experience was great. The hotel is located near Genting Hotel, making it very convenient for getting around. The surrounding scenery is expansive, and the air in the mountains is exceptionally good. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, and the sound insulation was quite good. There's a significant temperature difference between day and night in the mountains, but the room heating was powerful, so it was very warm at night. Check-in and check-out were efficient, and the service was enthusiastic. Parking was also convenient, making it very hassle-free for those driving. This place is perfect for a vacation in Chongli, and I'll choose it again next time I visit.

QueenNatWooThere were good things and bad things for this weekend trip. The bad things did not ruin the trip and we still have a great time. First, the parking here is so horrible. We drove around a few times to find a spot to oark. We couldn’t drive up to check-in. The parking garage was full and asking the guard about where to park he said the lot and garage were at capacity. We arrived well after the checkin time but our room was not ready and were still being cleaned. It took 4 people to check us in but they eventually got it sorted but this was an issue that was not in their control. They made the process very smooth and stored our luggage as we waited in the lobby. They have Starbucks” in the lobby and we waited for the rooms. The rooms were amazing and had that old world few feel to them. The beds were comfortable and the suites were very spacious. We had both a 1 bedroom suite and an executive suite. The breakfast did not live up to expectations they were slow to refill juices and left with a feeling of being mediocre. Steamed buns were soggy. We ordered food from
Delivery and ate dinner out.

Guest UserI absolutely have to give a special shout-out to Manager Qin for this stay! We had a small issue when we arrived, and Manager Qin didn't try to pass the buck. Instead, she patiently helped us coordinate and resolve it. Her handling of the situation was calm and thoughtful. Her communication throughout made us feel completely at ease, and her service was genuinely warm. It significantly enhanced our experience during this stay.

Anonymous UserThe room was spacious, easily accommodating our family of four, including elderly parents and a child, with its separate bedroom and living area. It even had a kitchen with a washing machine and dryer, and a large refrigerator, just like at home, which was perfect for storing food, and keeping drinks and snacks chilled or frozen in summer. The hotel is very close to the town center, practically right downstairs. Just a few steps away are the dining and commercial streets. It's close to KFC, and there are also many Chinese restaurants and food trucks, with all sorts of entertainment options concentrated here. The best part was the hotel's hot springs, with multiple indoor and outdoor pools. The outdoor ones felt really pleasant and not stuffy. They lit up at 7 PM, creating a lovely ambiance. It was also very convenient to access the hot springs directly from the hotel corridor. The hotel breakfast was predominantly Chinese, and quite filling.

XiaobeidedachanyatouThe room was incredibly comfortable, and they even gave us a free upgrade since we had two seniors with us. When the elderly complained about the AC not being cool enough at night, someone came to fix it immediately. Our own room had a view of Taiwoo Night, and it was especially beautiful when they released sky lanterns after the evening performance. The hotel breakfast was also very rich, and they even had different options for the two mornings we stayed. The hotel pool was very clean, and the gym, though not huge, had a lot of equipment. Plus, staying at the hotel got us a 20% discount on the cable car. The mountain scenery was breathtaking, and after the rain, there was a rainbow arching over the valley, like a painting. There were also tons of entertainment options at the foot of the mountain. In the evening, the hotel bar had a live singer, and their smoky, boozy voice was absolutely amazing! Next time I come to Taiwoo, I'll definitely stay here again!

XiaoyaoyifanThis hotel, located in the 'Little Switzerland of Beijing's suburbs,' truly lives up to its cool reputation, with significant temperature drops in the mornings and evenings. My windbreaker definitely came in handy! The Thaiwoo Hotel is right in the town center, making it a short walk to all the attractions and convenient for dining. However, since it's in a tourist area, the food at most places is pretty average. The family room for two adults and one child was decent, but not great value for money. The weekend rates during summer weren't cheap, but you're paying for the convenient location.

blablaThe hotel room was clean, and its location within Thaiwoo Ski Town was excellent. The price was also quite good value for money compared to other hotels in the area. The only drawback was that the room was very hot in the summer; it was cold outside but hot inside, and the AC wasn't cooling. Opening the window was an issue because it was noisy at night, and I have severe allergies. Also, the breakfast wasn't great; the fried dough sticks and bread were rock hard, like baguettes. The variety was average for a 4-star hotel. The connecting rooms that Hyatt has an agreement for with Trip.com are quite unique and perfect for a family of three adults and one child, or four adults and one child. It's very suitable for families with kids. My grandpa's room had a problem with the bathroom ventilation system; he could always smell smoke, probably from someone smoking in a room upstairs or downstairs. I'm sure the hotel can improve this. I'd give it a 4-star rating.
