The house is great, with beautiful views, snow-capped mountains opposite and very close to Seljalandsfoss Falls

Not too recommended, 6 rooms are tightly connected with a 2x3 layout, the sound + vibration are very obvious, will be affected by others, no sound insulation. The mattress is insufficiently supported, the hip and waist will sink, and my weight will be 80-85kg. In summary, the quality of sleep is not very good. Other aspects are not bad.

We have a 1 night stay at Midgard Camp during our 9 days road trip in Iceland. It is our 2nd stop hotel of our trip. Though the room are not big, but it is comfortable, good and cosy enough for all. The family rooms comes with 1 double bed plus 1 bunk bed enough for all 4 of us. The whole place is very vibrant, friendly staff, nicely decorated and energetic yet peaceful and quiet for individual enjoyment. The whole place is very well maintained and It is very clean even the common toilet as I bathe there to avoid waiting for our private toilet to save some time. The common kitchen is for all guests and is well equipped. We cooked our hot meal as well as breakfast there. We can also enjoy the complementary coffee/tea from the hotel paid breakfast. Overall, We enjoy our stay there even though it is just 1 night. The location is easily found with the GPS, you wouldn't miss it. Highly recommended this place. Also, really appreciate the friendly staff giving us a round tour of the place explaining where are the common toilet, hot bathe tub, dryer for our swim wear should we use the hot bathe tub and sauna. This is indeed exceed our expectation actually. 10/10!

Very close to the Seri Yalan Waterfall, about ten minutes drive. We stayed here on the return trip. The room was a bit cold at night. The flour outside at sunrise in the morning was very good. Breakfast was basic.

Hotel is along a side road but not too noisy. There is an outdoor hot tub which close at 10pm. Room size is reasonable, bed is a bit soft but its comfortable. The breakfast is hot and good. A good location for stopover.

This cottage stay was a new experience for me, and I really appreciated the peaceful setting and cozy atmosphere. It’s a lovely place to unwind, surrounded by nature. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see the northern lights during the night I stayed, as the sky wasn’t clear enough. Still, the location felt promising for aurora viewing, and I’d love to return for another chance.

The scenery is excellent. At the foot of a mountain, there should be a hut for watching the aurora. It's a pity that we didn't see the aurora during the summer. The location is not far from Skógafoss, Seljalandsfoss and Vik Black Beach. You can choose here for these three attractions. The facilities in the house are very new, and the heating is turned on in advance. Icelanders really don't know how to promote it. A good house looks like a rough house in photos. The housekeeper didn't speak English well, but he still communicated clearly. Other comments are helpful. To get the password, you can keep calling until they answer the phone. If that doesn't work, you can try your luck on the spot. You will see the women cleaning up the house working nearby.

We had a fantastic stay at North Star Cottages. The cottage was clean and well appointed. We arrived to a warm, snug cabin after a day of walking in the rain, and it had everything we needed for a short one night stay. We were a family of four and we brought food to prepare. The kitchen had everything to cook, eat, and wash up. Beds were comfy and the shower was hot. Really great place.

A very unique hotel with a great retro vibe. The self-service breakfast was quite tasty. The hot tub outside offers a beautiful view. However, be aware that the check-in process isn't straightforward.

I have been in the rain and cannot let others be like me. I rented a car with my friends in Iceland and stayed here for two nights. First night: I arrived at the hotel entrance at 10 o'clock in the evening and found that I could not contact the hotel staff. The phone is not answered, the email is not returned, and the email sent by the hotel when I see the reservation is from 4 pm to 9 pm, and it is not waiting for the expiration. Very anxious, I thought that more than 2,000 people in the car a night. 🌟 Focus: Later, I found that there was a white house behind me, so I tried it. Then a very enthusiastic brother made a phone call and opened the room. Second night: Because the room was not enough when booking, the room was not set for two days. At 5 pm the next day, I sent an email to the hotel, but I didn't reply. After that, I made several intermittent calls and no one answered. At night, I arrived at the hotel and went to the back house. The little brother opened the room again. 🌟🌟 Summary: It is best to send an email in advance to see if there is a reply, no reply, when you arrive at the location, don't care what time, go directly to the white house behind and say check in.
