Incredible traditional Japanese house, newly renovated with everything you need for comfort. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked for us to prepare our own meals. The garden is beautiful and you can enjoy ocean view and sunrise from the house, there’s even a blooming Cherry Blossom tree in the garden. Just a tip to keep the sliding doors closed properly because mosquitoes do get in. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay.

Absolutely gorgeous place and the nicest owner! Rooms are cozy and clean. Air conditioning is working perfectly even in this scolding hot summer. The food is amazing! We highly recommend to try both dinner and Japanese breakfast, it is wonderful! Overall this place is very peaceful and gorgeous. Try to stay at least for 2 nights! Our stay at Hotel Kikunoya on Miyajima was hands-down one of the best ryokan/hot spring hotel experiences we’ve ever had! We arrived at this beautifully renovated, fully equipped property and were immediately greeted by incredibly warm and friendly staff. Our room was spotlessly clean, surprisingly spacious, and very comfortable. The meals were absolutely delicious—fresh, seasonal, and beautifully presented. They offer a thoughtful pick-up service between the Miyajima pier and the hotel, which made arrival and departure so easy. The highlight was celebrating my birthday during dinner. The staff surprised me by gathering around our table, singing “Happy Birthday,” and presenting a sweet little souvenir gift. It felt so heartfelt and made us feel truly at home during our entire stay. I can’t recommend Hotel Kikunoya (菊乃家) highly enough to anyone visiting Miyajima—whether you’re looking for stunning views, excellent onsen facilities, or just genuine Japanese hospitality. There is a minibus transfer at the ferry. The hotel is at the entrance of Hongye Valley Park. There is a creek courtyard at the door. Next door is the free bus to the park cable car. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to Yandao Dashe. It is too suitable for the elderly and the children. The hotel has a long history and the walls are full of celebrities visiting photos. You can also meet deer when you soak in the hot springs. The staff is warm and English is ok, and the guests are mostly foreigners and elderly. Don't worry about staying and not stepping on thunder~ Be careful not to wear a bathrobe to Yandao Dashe!

Although the hotel is a bit old, the service is really good. The hotel is a bit away from the pier. Fortunately, there is a shuttle bus, which is available in the morning and evening, which is very convenient. The room was clean and the socket was less, and it would be better to have an exhaust fan in the bathroom. I booked breakfast and dinner. I can say that the meal is worth the price. It is definitely incomparable with a good hotel. Overall, the price/performance ratio is still very good.

Отель в уединённом местечке на острове Ицукусима. Интересный опыт - ночью остров почти пустой, так как большая часть туристов приезжает лишь на день. Чисто, удобно, приятно было провести время. Завтрак достоин отдельной похвалы. Брал в японском стиле - на фото снизу не всё, что принесли (после донесли ещё мисо-суп, омлет, рис, чай и напиток на выбор (соки, горячий шоколад и прочее)

Очень милое место. Есть много пространства чтобы собираться вместе кушать или играть в игры. Есть книги, приставка, диваны, большие столы, пинг-понг, кухня, бюджетная стирка. Мне понравилось здесь, хотя комнаты очень простые, они удобные и есть все что нужно. (Но вместо пододеяльника у вас будет 2 простыни!)
