I had a wonderful stay here. The staff member was extremely kind—he welcomed me with a cold drink upon arrival and was very helpful throughout my stay. He sent me a list of great places to eat, have coffee, and activities to do around town, which I really appreciated. The room was spacious, very clean, and located in a calm, quiet area. There is also a shared kitchen where you can cook your own meals, and a washing machine available if you need to do laundry. I felt very comfortable and would definitely recommend this place.

Hotel Highly Recommended This honeymoon stay was absolutely fantastic! Every moment was filled with heartwarming and touching moments, and I truly deserve high praise! The hotel was incredibly attentive to detail. Knowing we were on our honeymoon, they thoughtfully arranged leaves on the bed to spell out ”Happy Wedding,” a truly special and considerate gesture. All the staff were incredibly welcoming, always greeting us politely and giving way to us, creating a wonderful atmosphere. While working out at the gym, I consulted a yoga instructor about suitable exercises for my shoulder blade pain. The instructor was exceptionally helpful, providing a complimentary 15-minute professional back massage with essential oils, perfectly relieving my discomfort – such a thoughtful gesture! And most importantly, I must commend our personal butler, ISHANKA! Absolutely the best and most reliable butler I've ever encountered on my travels! Sincere, kind, and dedicated, with meticulous service. Knowing my partner's midday wake-up time, she thoughtfully planned snorkeling and surfing activities tailored to our needs, ensuring a relaxed yet efficient schedule, allowing us to enjoy our trips comfortably without any rushing. What we remember most vividly is an unexpected incident: while dining out, my partner was accidentally scratched by the cat, and the situation was urgent. ISHANKA immediately contacted a hospital for us. Despite the torrential rain and thunder outside, he stayed with us the entire time, holding an umbrella for us and communicating smoothly with the doctor. He stayed with us from 8 PM until 1 AM, providing constant comfort and support, and ensuring we received our rabies vaccination on time. He was truly incredibly responsible. Furthermore, our planned sea fishing trip on the third day was cancelled at the last minute due to impending storms and strong winds. It was confirmed that the storm was indeed raging that night, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to guest safety and his exceptional responsibility. Overall, the stay was impeccable. The environment, service, and personal care were all top-notch, and our butler, ISHANKA, was irreplaceable. Highly recommended for any traveler!

The room was spotless and tidy, facing the ocean. The hotel also has its own private beach. If you're unsure what to eat for dinner, I highly recommend trying the hotel restaurant. We ordered the tuna and black tiger prawns for our main courses, and both were absolutely delicious. The best part is the dining experience right by the sea – it really gives you that holiday vibe. The staff were also very nice. Breakfast is an à la carte buffet, with a great selection of fruits, coconut, juices, and more. If you're visiting Galle with family, I highly recommend this place!

Comfortable, budget-friendly stay near the beach. Great value for money. Tamara Motels is a family-run establishment located on Galle Road in Hikkaduwa, just a short walk from the beach. The location is convenient—close to shops and restaurants. I loved the motel's design. I was surprised when the owner told me he built it himself! The room was clean and spacious, with modern amenities, a huge balcony, a nice bathroom, and a terrace overlooking the railway and the jungle. I slept really peacefully there. Even the sound of the train passing by was soothing. The family running the inn is incredibly kind and helpful.

the good stuff - staffs are excellent - we felt very looked after - location is good too - hotel walk right out to the beach - the waves are majestic - excellent views - walkable to turtle beach - beautiful corals - beautiful sunset - breakfast was excellent - lots of good eateries around - gated space, safe - comfortable beds the not so good stuff - pool was under renovation - no sheltered parking - room amenities need an uplift - beds a bit narrow the bad stuff - wet smell in the corridor - wifi limited coverage/speed - furniture needs upkeep

It is better not to settle here. The hotel is not worth its money. Very tired, requires repair. There was no safe, there were no dishes, there were no hoods, broken lighting, ants, broken curtains, broken door handles and locks. I do not recommend to settle in this hotel. The hotel and rooms have been photographed long ago and do not reflect its view at the moment.

The room itself is adequate. The air-con was strong and the shower was good. When I arrived, there was no one there. I opened the gate and walked in. I called the number to the property and the person who answered arrived shortly thereafter. He said no one was there because of the New Year holiday. He showed me to my room. I asked for one in the back, but he said he was having a party and that might be too much for me. After I got settled into a clean room in the front facing the traffic, there was no towel or soap. Late at night after I was asleep, I was startled by someone who began banging on my door and turning the knob several times to get in. I yelled at that person and told him to stop. It did stop and afterward, I felt completely unsafe. I got up to put my heavy suitcase at the door to prevent the intruder from coming in. The staff person had said to me that he was having a party, but then said it was cancelled. There were several men at the property when I returned in the evening. I'm not sure who the perpetrator was maybe it was one of them. There is no peep hole and the windows are frosted. I felt completely vulnerable. I didn't even think to call the staff person because I was frightened and sleepy. My advice is to be cautious if you stay here.

This hotel is all about show. All attention is paid to the exterior. The entrance and restaurant are beautifully decorated. The staff is attentive. The food is decent. All the rooms have a balcony overlooking the ocean. The view is wonderful, but! There's no access to the sea. You have to walk a long way to get to the beach (even though it's right on the beach). There's simply no soundproofing. You can hear everything in your room, including traffic from the street and music from the countless cafes and restaurants. Therefore, this is a hotel for young partygoers. You can have a blast here. If you've come to have fun, stay up all night, or go diving (there's a club right on the premises), then this is the place for you!

Stayed at Coral Sands Hotel for 10 nights in July 2024. Excellent location, next to the hotel there is everything you need: beach, cafes, souvenir shops. The staff was responsive and promptly resolved any issue I had. The buffet and restaurant are excellent! The food is very tasty and varied. The room is comfortable with working air conditioning, the sea view is stunning. Overall, I was pleased with my stay and recommend it to everyone!
