Lake Tekapo Hotels with Parking

This apartment is the most satisfying place on this trip. It can be said to be amazing. First of all, all the equipment is available, just like going home. Then the apartment is incredibly large. The living room and kitchen are so big that you can do somersaults. The equipment is very new and clean. The kitchen is equipped with all possible supplies. The scenery here is also great. You can see the lake from the living room. There are two super large balconies. Our family of three lives in two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There is a small farm not far away where you can pet animals. It takes only a few minutes to drive to the town center. In short, everything is perfect, but it’s a pity that we only stayed for one night. Facilities: Everything is available. The first thing we did when we arrived was to wash and dry clothes. It’s so convenient. The heating is also super comfortable, the bathroom is brand new and clean, the kitchen appliances are very complete, and there is free milk. The apartment was very spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Our family had a wonderful two-day stay and found it to be comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen was well-equipped, though it would have been even better if it included an oven. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again.

This is one of the most well equipped and comfortable place I’ve stayed in. All 7 of us loved the place so much. Feels so much like home, everything is high quality and very very comfortable. Love this place.

The location is super convenient, just a few minutes' walk to the church. The room is very modern and clean, and the shower pressure is great and comfortable. Just note that the front desk isn't staffed until 2:30 PM, so no need to arrive too early. For check-out in the morning, just leave your key card in the small basket. The service was very friendly, and they even showed me to my room.

The location is fantastic, very easy to find, and super close to the lake. The parking right outside is a real bonus for those driving. The room facilities are comprehensive, and the bathroom is incredibly spacious and wheelchair-accessible. There's nothing obstructing the view outside, so you can stargaze directly from the entrance at night.

Overall, a good stay. It's tucked away in a quiet part of the complex, and the facilities are quite new. You can even see the Milky Way clearly at night. The only downside is that the room is a bit small; opening two large suitcases really fills up the space. However, I had anticipated this, so all in all, the value for money is decent (accommodation around Lake Tekapo is generally expensive).

Stayed one night in Tekapo, and check-in was a breeze, no issues at all. You can literally see the stars right from the doorstep, no need to even bother going to the Church of the Good Shepherd, it was absolutely amazing! The guesthouse is relatively new and well-equipped; the fridge worked great. The only minor downsides were the soundproofing, which wasn't the best – I could hear people talking in the next-door bathroom from my own. Also, since I visited in New Zealand's winter, the air conditioning's heating wasn't very powerful, and the room only got to a maximum of 20℃.

We are couple with a 5 year old girl. We paid SGD697.85 (Singapore dollar) for staying 2 nights in this “2 bedroom apartment” as stated. 3 points here to explain the terrible experience. 1. tv remote is not working. I don’t mind the owner making excuse like “ replied customer’s message within 20mins…..” but they actually took 29mins to reply (19:10 till 19:39). In fact, they didn’t manage to change the tv remote in the end. So I stayed 2 nights without using the TV! 2.there is no clear and obvious description that this “2 bedroom apartment” is actually an adjoining unit which means when u walked into the front door then there are 2 doors link to split parts of the apartment. The problem of adjoining units are thin walls are used to split the apartment into 2 small units. When u stay in this kind of apartment, u have to endure all kind of noises from whoever staying in neighboring rooms. We had 2 days enduring guesting from the other room shouting, slamming the door, kids screaming like crazy both early in the morning and afternoon! 3. When I reflect this bad experience with trip.com customer service, this hotel responded like they have no fault at all and played with words. This attitude makes us feel like being fooled. We paid money to expect to stay in an apartment with privacy and quiet environment but indeed we had such a bad experience! In this market, if it’s an adjoining unit, they should not charge at the rate as if it’s an entire apartment. I’m alright that they rejected to refund the extra amount they charged. Just have to reflect the facts in the review. Thanks.

The room was clean and very comfortable! They provided shampoo and other amenities, which was helpful! The location was great, close to Lake Tekapo!

Overall, it wasn't terrible, but it was definitely the worst place we stayed during our New Zealand trip. Tekapo is super popular, and even booking four months in advance for over a thousand dollars a night, this was the best we could get. If possible, book half a year ahead during the off-peak season. This property is a whole holiday home divided into three apartments (A, B, C) for rent. Apartment A faces the lake, which is more like a small pond, but it does have ducks and wild rabbits. The view is pretty average by New Zealand standards. It's also a 15-20 minute walk to the town center's Four Square supermarket, which can be tiring if you have a lot of luggage and no car. The soundproofing in the room is really bad; we had noisy neighbors all night. The most ridiculous thing is that there isn't a single usable table or chair inside the room. The only option is the outdoor patio furniture, but it was raining when we were there, so we couldn't use it anyway. Plus, the neighbors' kids were ill-mannered and stepped all over it, so I doubt anyone would want to eat there. Even more outrageous, the water pressure in the bathroom was almost nonexistent. You'd get better pressure from a garden hose! The bathroom itself is quite spacious, but that's pointless. The Wi-Fi is shared among the three apartments, and you have to stand in a specific spot in the room to get a good connection. Customer service communication is old-school email, but at least they reply once a day. The most chilling part was on check-out day: the key safe outside had been tampered with; someone had pressed the code. I distinctly remember scrambling the numbers. Oh well, luckily there was no key inside. If you can accept all these points, then this room is perfect for you.
