FirstmanonearthIt was a relaxing stay. The front desk was so friendly (as most tajik people i met in the country, really) and so helpful. They can assist you with airport transfers and money changing. While I didn’t get to take advantage of it, they also have free laundry and apparently snacks and drinks available for most of the day at the lobby which is a nice touch. The pool was refreshing and the ambiance of the whole place was just very inviting. I used the gym which had a decent setup, though the dumbbells stop at 50lbs and the only bench for barbell pressing was a bit rough to use and unstable. The breakfast was varied, with delicious beans and chicken, grilled vegetables, various cheeses, meat slices, sausages, salad toppings, and more. The real standout personally was the dessert. Brownies dripping with peanut butter and chocolate sauce and danish with berries, it was amazing! Will definitely stay again 👍

Honestly, a huge thank you to all the staff for their respect and hospitality! The location is convenient, the room selection is extensive, and it's incredibly peaceful; it feels like home! And most importantly, the respect for guests is top-notch!

When I saw the hotel name before booking, I thought it should be a hotel run by Chinese people. When I arrived at the destination, it turned out to be Chinese people, which made it easy for us to communicate with the locals.

Nice hotel with complete facilities and excellent service attitude! The downside is that there is no heating in the room!

The room was very large and new, and the hotel offers a free airport shuttle service (which is a great service for foreigners in Dushanbe where ride-hailing services are inconvenient). I highly recommend staying here.

Shoes-off but will.accept clean indoor slippers. Electric supply needs attention. Otherwise good.-- Classic backpacker hostel- old maps on wall, stickers from all over (even Wall Drug), great huge old mansion with courtyard, plenty of bathrooms, walkable from downtown, clean sheets and blanket, spacious old school kitchen, decent service, the dorm room is large open-bay with twin sized beds, no bunks, en suite bathroom, rickety but functional A/C unit. I spoke to the manager about Electric service as my charger wire fried when I connected it to an extension cord; that they apparently came and removed from the room. Bed had 2 springs out of whack producing pressure points; I remedied by sleeping on the thick clean comforter they provided- slept well- place has good vibes. Manager aware of electricity issue. Place needs some work but is obviously a potential backpacker haven for Dushanbe- maybe already is- many international nice folks there when I stayed. I really am hoping they can resource for a few updates on the electric, and the dorm room (I think I am partial due to stays at Desti hostels around China). I would say please support this place but inquire about the electric socket you need to use.

The true test of a hotel lies in its details, and Hotel Isfara truly felt like a warm home in Dushanbe! I spent three days in Dushanbe, and my overwhelming impression of Hotel Isfara was its blend of 'professionalism' and 'warmth'. From the front desk to housekeeping, every staff member greeted me with a smile, and their English communication was excellent, which is incredibly important for foreign travelers. The room details were well-executed: power outlets were conveniently placed and compatible with various plugs without needing an adapter; the shower had stable water pressure and hot water came on instantly – a lifesaver for a weary traveler. I particularly want to commend their room service; they were incredibly responsive. Whether I needed a hairdryer or extra bottles of water, they were delivered within minutes. The hotel is located on the main street, making it very cheap to take a taxi to the main square and the bazaar. If you're looking for an accommodation that is both respectable and personable, Hotel Isfara will not disappoint.

We stayed at Safar Hotel for 3 days in rooms 207 and 407. Breakfast started at 8:10, but it was not at all what we expected—just simple eggs and sausages, though we were hoping for a buffet. When we asked to have breakfast prepared earlier, they flat-out refused. The indoor and outdoor pools were great, and the hotel staff spoke Chinese, which was nice. However, in room 407, the toilet lid was broken. We didn’t notice at first, but in the end, we were made to pay for it. Despite our explanations, they still charged us a 150 somoni fine. Long story short, we left very upset on the last day. We kindly request the hotel owners to refund the unfairly charged amount.

TopperUKVery central, directly next to post office and train station. A very Chinese-centric hotel, hence why only available on trip.com one assumes. Staff were confused how I was able to book this hotel!
Massive room and quite modern, but…. Typical poor Chinese building standards. Plumbing smelt and a delightful piece of poo came floating out of the shower pan drain one morning. Suffice to say, I was somewhat disturbed.
The next day when a cockroach (I assume?) decided to fly (quite literally) out of the AC unit onto my bed, I woke up quite quickly, I must say!
Electric toilet was curious, if not a little confusing!
Lots of bathroom accessories though.
Get the plumbing fixed and the… hygiene looked into, and it would be very reasonable.
