This is a beautiful old world establishment house. It is very clean, and close to where I was visiting friends. This is my second time staying at this house and I recommend it to anyone who would like a bit of flair of the old South.
It is very well kept, with tons of amenities, and very quick check-in service. Quick response from the owner.
Thanks again John, for a wonderful stay. Hope to stay here again on my next visit to Shreveport.

Staff was excellent. Room disappointing. Was put in a handicap room, which I don't think I booked and the tv didn't work. Staff was very very efficient and moved us to another room where the heater didn't work. Staff was above and beyond, breakfast was fantastic. The room was not what I expected.
The hotel used to be a lot cleaner when I have stayed there in the past. I ended up wiping down and cleaning up as much as I could. I just think they need to be a little more thorough with their cleaning. One of the wall sockets by the bed had some red spilled drink on it that had dried and the cords to the phone and the electric outlet cord result dried and sticky with this gooey mess that was real gross. The washer and dryers on both floors were dirty I was not sure about using them or not so I decided not to. There weren't any roaches so that's good. A couple times I was paranoid that there might have been bed bugs but I don't think there were and I hope that there wasn't cuz I always inspect the beds and around the beds at first at every hotel I stay at
Princess was a spectacular hostess. The hotel needs get a water filter. Every breakfast juice, and the coffee, tastes like the river.
Our one-bedroom suite had an empty space where the kitchenette used to be; it could have been filled with a table and chairs. The bedroom needs a door.
It’s on the ass-end of downtown Shreveport, which itself needs an LA-style facelift. Such a sad downtown. Very little is open on Sundays.
I have stayed at this hotel several times for business. I was disappointed with this stay based on the toilet not flushing and when I called the front desk she advised that maintenance would be sent up, after waiting 20 minutes I called back and was told that we would have to move to another room without being told prior to my follow up call to see how long it was going to take maintenance to come up.
This was just a very disappointing experience.
Connecting room access was not secure. Deadbolt wouldn’t work. Holes in the wall. Initially the first room wasn’t made up. 2nd room couldn’t latch the door lock.
Free parking is available from the 20th highway. There are gas stations around, dining. The room is quite big, the health is OK, the breakfast is quite satisfactory. Overall, it is recommended.
