先説好的，雖然一開始入住雖然有些小插曲，終究在攜程和酒店方協調下換了我要的帶廚房的奢侈閣樓房間（目測有60-70平米） 我查了一下背景，這棟建築是 Alexander Hamilton School No. 31（第31公立學校），建於約1919–1922年。它最初是一所公立學校，以美國開國元勛 Alexander Hamilton 命名，曾使用數十年。主要是面向小學生的，比如讀寫、算術、歷史等。1980年前後學校功能結束後，建築被重新開發，先後用於教育、神學等用途。現在這座百年歷史建築被改造成 School 31 Lofts，同時設有影視製作設施 Colors Studios。它保留了原有的石材外牆、學校入口等歷史建築特色，並被 Rochester 市列為具有重要歷史價值的建築。 我實際入住，室內裝修是很特別的 1. 保留原學校特色：大量保留原來的黑板、教室格局、高挑天花板、木地板等，讓人能看出它過去是學校。 2. 保留老建築質感：部分磚牆、牆面和建築結構直接裸露出來，沒有完全用現代材料覆蓋，突出百年老建築的年代感。 3. 影視主題非常明顯：公共區域和客房中可以看到電影海報、影視相關裝飾和道具，因為這裏同時是 Colors Studios 的影視製作空間。 4. 復古工業風：古舊書籍、黑板、裸磚、老木材等與現代傢俱結合，形成一種 industrial + vintage 的風格，而不是傳統豪華酒店。 5. 整體理念是“歷史建築再利用”：它不是把老學校徹底翻新成一個現代酒店，而是儘量保留學校原貌，再把教室和其他空間改造成 Loft、酒店客房和影視工作空間。 6.廚房配置齊全很好用，全套康寧餐具。 不太好的地方，提醒大家注意。 建築物有部分區域有地面輕微下陷，也圍起來了，不知道有沒有安全風險。層高感覺接近四米，如果一個人入住，如果是女生，由於室內燈光昏暗，挺有壓迫感的，加之建築物和傢俱老舊，有點瘮人。入住期間沒有人打掃的，也沒有前台，就是郵件/電話24/7據説服務。
