Whenever I visit Thailand, I pretty much always book with Holiday Inn PATTAYA by IHG. This time, we stayed at the beachside property. Our room was on the 17th floor facing the beach, offering fantastic views. The room itself was quite nice—essentially two rooms combined into a suite. Having two bathrooms and two toilets made it super convenient. The bathrooms were huge with great views, and the room as a whole was wonderful.
The breakfast at Holiday Inn PATTAYA by IHG was also very good; we went down for it almost every day. The hotel pool is great too, with a direct view of the beach, and we practically lived there every day.
Although Holiday Inn PATTAYA by IHG separates the kids' pool from the main pool, some kids would still occasionally make noise in the beachfront pool, which disrupted the relaxing vibe a bit. Everything else was great, though.
Overall, Holiday Inn PATTAYA by IHG is a solid choice, but from a resort perspective, it lacks that true resort ambiance. The lobby, in particular, feels a bit too corporate and business-oriented, lacking the resort feel of the Holiday Inn in Phuket.
However, the location of Holiday Inn PATTAYA by IHG is fantastic! Just a right turn out the main entrance takes you to plenty of shopping malls, and the famous Terminal 21 is just a 10-minute walk away. Turn left, and you're at the beachside walking street. Convenience stores are all around on both sides. If you are looking for a great location, this place is hard to beat—it's not too noisy, and transportation is very convenient.
Housekeeping was also excellent. Whenever we told them when we wanted our room cleaned, they always tidied it up thoroughly and changed the towels regularly.
