My family of four (two adults, two little kids) had a two bedroom condo for three nights in January. We were happy we stayed at Villa Marina as it was a bit removed from the party vibe in town. For holidays, be warned that EMD pumps and echos throughout the beach until 3 AM. The condo itself was very spacious and had a nice view of the bay. We found it to be fairly quiet though we weren't in at all that much! You can rent surf boards for 15-20 dollars a day a short ten minute walk down the beach. You can also take surf lessons with little to no advanced booking on the beach as well. Great for beginners. On the cons side, the condos are on the lower level and sandwiched between other condos on the sides. Luckily we only had one day where the upstairs neighbor shifted around their furniture. Note that condo 502 does not come with a dishwasher. It would have been nice to have a couple extra beach towels (only were two for the four of us provided) but luckily we brought our own. I think the place is slightly overpriced for what you get, but overall we enjoyed our stay!

Nice, pretty clean, local feel. We liked the hotel. It’s simple and run by Panamanians, unlike the rest of venao. Rooms are very simple, pool is small and clean. Drinks and food so-so. We liked our experience and will stay here again. Just far enough from venao to be quiet but close enough to walk in 10 minutes on the beach.

Please do not deal with these people. They are impossible to communicate with, customer service is non-existent and so disorganized that I was told I did not have a reservation after I had booked. I was traveling within two weeks, so I quickly booked another place and now they will not refund my money. There are many options on at this location.. choose wisely and save yourself the hassle of dealing with these people.

My husband and I stayed at this resort for 3 nights & we loved every minute of it. The grounds are beautiful & well maintained. The staff was so friendly & helpful & the food was extraordinary! We ate dinner and breakfast at the restaurant every day & the meals were delicious. We would recommend this resort 100% to anyone visiting the area!

A perfect secluded beach vacation. The resort had everything you could want on a beach vacation: rentals, restaurant, pool overlooking the beach, direct beach access. It was just a short walk to the restaurants and shops in the rest of Playa Venao, but it was just far enough away to not be as busy as the main part of Playa Venao. This resort was smaller, so it felt like home, and all the staff knew us by the end of our stay. The staff was very attentive to us being vegetarian and always offered plenty of no-meat options that weren’t even on the menu. I would highly recommend this place for a quiet beach getaway.

Beautiful location, calm environment, clean big rooms, good food. Only tip is they need new pool lounge chairs. Short walk to la playita, also walkable to a jungle waterfall hike. Hammocks in room balconies are a plus. Would definitely stay here again

What a superb experience! We’re a family of 5 surfers, stayed here for one month, & Villa Marina (VM) provided us w/ one of the best vacation experiences of our lives! We have traveled/surfed all over Latin America, but VM lovely accommodations; gorgeous, secluded views right on the beach; well-maintained premises; excellent infrastructure and wifi(!); and warm, impeccable hospitality are unparalleled. The 2 lovely pools; wonderful services with Viviana & Zuri (yoga, massage, & mani/pedí); and nice restaurant and bar were all highlights for us. Importantly, the staff were just incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful. Our special thanks to Nina, Ariel, and William for making feel so welcome! Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back again!
