Just got back from 3 nights at the Riders Retreat. Absolutely perfect place to base yourself for riding the trails at Glentress and all the other places in the area. Rooms clean and practical, Bike wash area available, and secure lock up for bikes. Relaxed atmosphere with really friendly and helpful staff providing great service and local knowledge. Would not hesitate to recommend this place as the perfect location to enjoy trails and mountains around the Tweed valley

Book here, you won’t be disappointed.
A lovely, clean and safe hotel. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel all in all is excellent. I would happily book here again. We met the owner at breakfast and he was very friendly and helpful. The night before we were going to arrive very late so called ahead and there was no problem, all was explained how to gain access. We stayed here as a family of 5 and it was excellent all round.

Murray and his crew are very friendly and helpful. The Boyle is right by the forest to access mountain biking. It was awesome! We hope to come back some day because everyone at the Riders Retreat were so great.

Very friendly hotel. Thro ******* I had ordered a double/twin room and on the request notes I had specified twin beds. Got to the hotel and only a double, but straight away the staff had a comfortable single bed took into our room Staff very helpful throughout our stay.

Really well set up and welcoming to mountain bikers.
It has a relaxed a friendly atmosphere, and would be a nice place to stay with or without a bike.

ok hotel
There were no hooks or possibility to hang jackets, towels or the like, and the space under the door was so wide, we had to put the extra cushons in front of the door so not to be woken when the light went on and off all the time in the hallway. Apart from that, a nice, calm hotel, ok standard, free parking, nice staff.
