This was a fun place to stay. They have been doing quite a bit of updates and remodeling, which is wonderful. if you stay in a cabin ask for the ones that face the woods. Especially if you are not a smoker or drinker because the picnic tables in front is where everyone congregates. The back half of the cabins that face into the woods gives you more of a peaceful, secluded vibe. The food is not that great and is expensive. I'd recommend going into town getting food and snacks there. The trails are very fun and the very well maintained. Something that we learned is that your feet will get wet while hiking because some of the trails (Punch Bowl) have streams running through them. So it's best to wear shoes that can get wet.

First, the good. The park is one of the most colorful and adventurous places you will find in Indiana. The hiking is terrific fun and the more muddy, the more fun! We've stayed in the Inn multiple times. The last visit was 6 years ago and the room was clean but really rough. When I booked this time I saw that all the rooms were to have been "renovated" in the last 5 years. If this is true they somehow missed our room. Clear evidence of lots of water damage to outside walls, mold in shower, old dirty bathroom tile. The paint was awful and there was paint on the curtains. The curtains looked 30 years old. I should mention the rate was over $200 per night. The beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. Raine was particularly sweet helpful. In the future we will make it a day trip and not deal with the dissapointment of the Inn.

My friend and I stayed in a cabin for 1 night while visiting the area. It was cute and small. I didn't think a fridge would be in the room so that was a nice surprise. The beds were ok but wayyy too many pillows and no place to put them. The shower was very small but did the job. Soap and shampoo were provided. Wifi didn't work in cabin but was prepared for that. We could hear a little bit of noise from the other guests as the walls were connected. Check in/out took awhile as the staff is behind a wall. Waited a few minutes and then just yelled hello to get service. We ate dinner in the inn and alot of items on the menu were unavailable. Our server was very new so she didn't know much information when asked. I ate breakfast there alone as well and it was decent. I would prefer to know n arrival was isn't available on the menu. All in all was nice to be right in the park and I would recommend.

We picked this park as a stopping point enroute to our spring break as a chance to stretch our legs on the hiking trails to break up the drive. We stayed in a cabin and it looks like they are recently remodeled. The price was fair for a clean room in a beautiful location. The listing didn't list a microwave, but there was one in the room, so may have been added as part of remodeling? We didn't end up making a meal in our room as planned, but would be handy if we had been staying longer to make a few meals versus eating out. There was a crazy amount of pillows, so most ended up on the floor at bedtime, possibly the reason why one of the decorative pillows had a few strands of hair on it when we arrived? (The only missed item in cleaning as room was otherwise in great shape.) May recommend cutting down the number to a reasonable amount that will actually be of use. Bed was a little on the firm side for my liking. The neighboring cabin had kids running around when we arrived and could hear them quite clearly through the wall, but luckily wasn't an issue at bedtime as they must have settled in earlier or normal talking levels were sufficiently muffled. Person checking us in didn't seem interested in us being there. Wasn't rude, but obviously got the transaction done as quickly as possible with as few words as possible. After I got our key card, I realized I didn't know what building was ours and he had already disappeared again to the back and didn't reappear when I returned to the desk, so we went outside and just started checking the buildings for our number. The park itself was beautiful and we would like to get back. We only had a few hours to explore and every trail was a great view. Could use a few more "you are here" signs on the trails, but we were usually able to figure out where we were on our paper map.

The room was fantastic, very comfortable and clean. We have always loved our stays at the State Park Inns. The lobby was my favorite place during this cold, snowy time and we spent several hours with a puzzle and conversation with passersby. The girls at the desk were helpful and friendly. We were disappointed to note the swimming pool was not available. Our complaint is with the dining room. It was a Friday night and very few items on the menu were available at all, but we were not informed ahead of time. I finally ordered mashed potatoes and an order of cole slaw followed by fried biscuits. My husband ordered the tenderloin sandwich and a beer. Our bill came to $45 plus. So not only did we not get to have menu items we would normally order, but the meal cost more than we have ever paid for 2 meals at the park.

Great Inn and restaurant, food is always good and the Inn is very cozy. There is plentiful parking and the nature trails are fantastic. Walking over the suspension bridge to get to the trails is pretty neat as well. Rooms seem small, but are nice.

Enjoyed one of the most updated rooms among Indiana SP inns here at Turkey Run. Game room is large, well lit and clean. Indoor pool is moderate size, restaurant is typical. Verify that the breakfast buffet is available: it’s only expensive if you’re not hungry. Note- recent cabin updates- hoping they include the entire Inn complex including increasing room availability at truly one of the best SP in the state.

we stayed on a sunday night at the pet friendly cabin and it was great. the cabin was clean and spacious. they provided 2 bars of soap, shampoo, microwave, mini fridge, 2 beds, a small tv and night stand. also there is a small open closet. the cabin is like doubles with a door in between them that locks on both sides. so 2 families or 1 large family can still share one cabin technically. we brought our own small foldable table that we usually use for camping. all the cool trails are walkable distance from the cabins. the inn is right next to cabins. the overlook cabin and family cabin is alittle more private but nearby. the Roost cabin is never checked out but i believe that one is closer to the campground than the inn. overall we loved the one night stay. definitely want to come back during the weekday and stay again. because i will say on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the park can be kinda crowded bc of how cool the trails are. a lot of the times its better to come during off days and hours when its not as busy.
