What a beautiful place and excellent room and breakfast. Lovely friendly staff and lovely clean rooms. We had an absolute lovely time and will definitely come back.

The view from this beer garden is one of the best on the Gower. The steak sandwich was superb and we enjoyed two glasses of wine overlookingthe beach. We've been here many times and the staff have always been amazing- super friendly and attentive.

Such a beautiful location for such awful food. My husband took me here for a treat before my operation. I ordered mussels in cream sauce with bread and chips. No bread came and there quite a few unopened mussels which everyone knows can be lethal. I told the young waitress who told me to go up to the hotel from the beer garden. She said the manager would be inside at the back of the restaurant. As I am disabled I asked if she could ask if he could pop to see us in the bistro beer garden. She was a bit hesitant but said she would. We waited for 25 minutes and no one came so we left. Very disappointed.

Amazing beach and very nice part of the country. Unfortunately this place seems to Rely on passing trade so don’t appear to try at all. I had burger and chips and my good lady had the chicken burger. They were both truly dreadful. At £20 each I’d have expected them to be decent but they were really poor. Chicken burger was burned and both very dry. Stick to a beer and try the shack on the beach where the food looked far better. Such a shame as they have the location to be top notch!

I was charged £9.50 for two half pints of Madri lager at the bar. I am aware two half pints come at a little extra to the price of a pint but this is a rip off. I complained but to no avail. We shan't be going there again. Beware.

Went in looking for a light lunch as a group of 4 adults. They had several empty tables seating 2 but seemed reluctant to put tables together for us. We ended up doing it ourselves. Menu was very limited and with an odd mixture of things on offer. We ordered as 2 lots of 2 and although our friends ordered just before us their food came out ages after ours. We started ours to avoid it being cold. By the time theirs arrived we had finished eating ours. On the positive side there was a mix up with our Gluten Free order which they sorted out immediately Overall we thought the food was adequate but poor value for money. Would not rush to go back

We went here for an evening meal. We booked online which seemed great. On arrival there was nobody there to greet you in reception. We walked past a few members of staff with no hello. When we found the restaurant part they sat us down we waited for 15 minutes where no one came to serve us at all. No offer of service for drinks. Another couple came in after us and they were served straight away which made us disappointed and angry. When this happened we decided to leave. I spoke to the manager on duty just to make sure no money came off my card as you need to put in your details to book.

The hotel in its own right is decent and a perfect location , having the monopoly shouldn't result in poor service and food quality . They seem to struggle when a wedding is on doing the basics for other customers . The menu is generally limited . Having booked for a evening meal we were 1st to be served but waited an hour , a couple who ordered after us were served before us because they moaned about the length of time. When ours arrived it was practically thrown on the table , the food was cold and sent back , the chop was of a poor quality along with steam veg , the home made chips uncooked and warm . At no point did our waiter come check that we were happy and had everything we may require , then our half eaten plates were never cleared away having been on thd table for 25 mins , they still wasn't whilst I was going through the problems with the manager . Don't get me wrong the Staff are pleasant and friendly but are woefully inexperienced , naive and have had little or no training . Breakfast was equally cold and uninspiring with tables not being cleaned or re laid ......( I basically put the previous customers empty plates on another un cleared table in order to sit down , we had completed our breakfast and still that table hadn't been cleared up ( this was about half way through the breakfast period ) it has put us off returning to the hotel , we love the area but will look for an alternative next time ......its a wolf in sheep's clothing in a way .....

This place is in the most beautiful location I’ve been to for many years. The food ( I had mushroom starters and beef ragu, my wife had breads for starter and then steak) was presented fantastic and tasted gorgeous. The staff could not do any more than they did. It was just so relaxing.
